Boiler call out. Not emergency. Fan was the problem. Didnt even pop a meter across motor, just assumed it was faulty and by chance it was. Text me a quote at £550 and when questioned not prepared to identify labour and parts costs. Got job done at half the price by qualified engineer and brand new OEM part. Then rip you off with call out fee of £75 for less than 45 mins of checks, 10 mins of that drinking tea.
Apparently cost is hourly rate if you live outside Scunthorpe yet local Arrow advertisement says covers other areas. Found out that local rates in area are about £30 to £50 per hour

Called TVM to have our combi-boiler serviced and they gave me a time and date for an engineer to call. Then got a call to say the engineer had an all day job and they had to rearrange the appointment for 8 am another day for the following week. Then got a call at 8.10 am that morning, from the engineer, to say he had been called out on an emergency job. I later contacted their office and they promised they would get an engineer to me by that afternoon. I said I would give them onemire chance, otherwise I would take our business elsewhere !
