This place is one of the treasures of Blackheath. Their dishes are full of flavour; they cater for vegans, veggies or meat eaters; the staff are frien. Absolutely gorgeous Indian comfort food. Samosas and onion bhaji fried to perfection and a korma that was as satisfying as scoping nutella out the ja.

If I could give less than a 1 I would. The standards here have dropped considerably. As a member of the local community who has always trusted the quality of food provided by the Saffron Club, our recent order was quite the unpleasant surprise. Three of my relatives ordered a chicken tikka masala. To our horror, we agreed that the curry tasted uncannily similar to Heinz tomato soup (again, I'd like to emphasise that we have used and trusted in the Saffron Club, and have never had reason not to otherwise). I am convinced the curry contained this soup, which is unacceptable considering the prices

The Alexandra Players (drama group) from Charlton had their first Christmas outing all together since the pandemic started tonight. And it was wonderful! 🤩 Great restaurant, delicious and appetising food served by very friendly, accommodating staff made tonight extra, extra special. I had the chicken tikka masala which was incredible 😚👌 Forgot to take a piccie of my dinner as I was hungry and didn't want to stop once I picked up my knife and fork. 🤣 Highly recommend! Thank you for looking after us Saffron Club! 🙏

The service was terrible took over 30 mins to ask what we wanted to drink. Forgotten about the mains. Asked for coke 5 times an one of the times walked straight past.
This topped it asked for a bag to take the food home I'm allergic to nuts they mixed the corma curry with the Madras if I could give a no star I would

One of the best curries I have ever eaten! So much better than the usual standard menus that a lot of restaurants have. Can’t go wrong with Nepali food in my experience mind. We only had vegi - so can’t comment on the meat choices - but the Thali was amazing. We had ours spiced up. Dumplings for starters shouldn’t be missed either. Fab!

One of the best curry you can get in London. If you are local and have not been there yet you have no idea of what you are missing. I'm a customer since 2012 and the food quality has been the same if not better every time you come back, the service is very good and at a reasonable price. If you want a relaxing night, Saffron is the place. 10 out 10 for the place an the team.

Solid choice for an Indian cuisine in the Blackheath area. Food was of really good quality and not very greasy like most. I thought the portion sizes were quite small but I felt quite full after the meal! My only negative was that I thought the chicken bhutwa was lacking seasoning. My wife’s curry was spot on though (I finished hers off!). They nailed the garlic naan too.
