We stayed at Heasley House for three nights on our honeymoon and absolutely loved the place. Spacious, tastefully decorated rooms with enormous king size beds ensure maximum comfort. Delicious food - the breakfast is included and excellent, while I can vouch for the quality of the sourdough bread mentioned in other reviews! We also enjoyed a really nice dinner there on one of the evenings. Also, shuffleboard. If you don't know what that is, go here and you'll soon be addicted. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Beautiful building in an idyllic setting. The food was delicious and they have an expansive gin collection at the bar. They were also impressively accommodating of our 1 and 3 year old children.... Which enabled us to enjoy a much-needed relaxing drink after putting the kids to bed. Also, shuffleboard. Never played it before but after using the rather nice table in the bar I am now a huge fan!

What can I say apart from amazing things about this place. We booked all 4 of the amazing rooms at heasley house for our wedding weekend. The attention to detail is incredible, the food is amazing, the beds are so comfortable and the hosts are the icing on the cake. We spent a fair amount of time borrowing spare room keys (sorry Jamie) and cannot sing high enough praises about this place. Once again thank you for making the weekend so memorable and special and for being the best hosts in your wonderful space. Hope to see you again soon. Luke & Emily

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heasley House, which combines tasteful decor with a relaxed approach to hospitality that never feels intrusive. Jamie was a model host and provided excellent recommendations for exploring the surrounding area. The food was spot on and beautifully presented. We are now saving our pennies for a shuffleboard.

Few hosts could be as hospitable and attentive as Jamie and Melly who run Heasley House. Recently converted to a boutique bed and breakfast with four well appointed bedrooms. Many great thoughtful touches and detail that make a stay exceptional such as large towels, comfortable surroundings, roomy rooms and bathrooms, a well stocked bar, very good coffee and breakfasts. Even some usual ones like a shuffleboard in the bar area. They are looking to open a restaurant and tea room which I imagine being good. Quite off the beaten track and sometimes (if take wrong roads) difficult to find down country

Everything about Heasley House is of an exceptionally high standard. The squishy beds, the high thread count bed linen, the fluffy towels, the impeccably thoughtful design, and the charming location. Melly and Jamie have managed to create relaxed luxury whilst making you feel like you’re part of the extended family.
Gary and I stayed for 7 days and devoured breakfast, which is included, each morning. We also stayed in to have supper for 4 nights. The food was absolutely delicious. Completely unpretentious yet utterly splendid at the same time. They offer a 2 or 3 course menu and have an extensive

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Heasley House in August to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The host Jamie was wonderful and very welcoming. The house is absolutely gorgeous, located in a very peaceful and serene surrounding. We’ve stayed in the room 3, beautifully styled and spacious room with extra comfortable bed and an amazing view, lovely new bathroom with walk in shower. The house is spotless, with all the new covid procedures in place, it feels safe and secure, very well managed. The food was delicious, served in a very stylish dining room, you could sit outside as well. After the

A truly wonderful house in a great location from which to explore North Devon. The house was incredibly comfortable and exceeded our expectations in pretty much every way. We particularly loved the shuffleboard table, which accounted for many a late night! Jamie & Melly are lovely welcoming people and couldn't have been more helpful in pointing us to all the best beaches, restaurants and villages. We will be back!

This is the perfect place to hide away in luxury! All the rooms are beautifully decorated, and the hosts Jamie and Melly couldn't be more welcoming. They provided maps and books about the local area and had lots of helpful suggestions for places to visit. There's plenty of space to relax, or you can even learn to play shuffleboard!

Restful, peaceful and supremely comfortable with a bit of fun thrown in. The New hosts Jamie and Melly are extremely welcoming and have brought a tasteful and contemporary feel to this interesting property. They cater for your every need and when we stayed they cooked a superb breakfast one morning. Although on the edge of Exmoor it is very easy to get to the Beaches of North Devon where we visited for a surf. All in a fabulous house with space and facilities for big parties with a few extras. We will be back.
