Our history as a family Practice goes back to 1897 when Dr Sidney Broadbent began practising in Stoke Road. Our brand new purpose built Health Centre is now well equipped to provide the best in up-to-date medical care. We aim to provide a high standard of care for all of our Patients, balancing traditional skills with modern techniques.
The three Partners, Salaried GP and Registrar's work closely with each other and with the Healthcare Team to provide a comprehensive medical service for all of our Patients. We are part of the Stoke on Trent Clinical Commissioning Group, who are located at: Smithfield One Building, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, ST1 4FA, Telephone: (01782) 298000.

Services
The Practice now offers a Vasectomy Service to our patients and patients from local GP Surgeries via a referral from your GP. Dr R John provides the service alongside a member of the Nursing Team. This service is provided to pregnant ladies considered at risk of developing gestational diabetes. The Practice is one of five providers of this service across the city, and welcomes Patients from all Practices.
GP online services allow you to access a range of services via your computer, mobile or tablet. You can still contact the practice by phone or in person, this is just another option, which other patients have found is more convenient and saves them time.
For more information, please contact reception or next time you visit the surgery, bring with you a piece of photo ID (passport, driving licence) and something with your address on like a bank statement but not a gas or electric bill.Have you used the new Ask NHS App? We want to hear from you! 'Ask NHS' provides you with improved access to NHS 111 and your local NHS services.

New Patients are asked to bring their medical card with them at the time of registration. An appointment will be made for you to see a Practice Nurse or Healthcare Assistant so that we can get to know your medical history and give you a brief health check, e.g. If you live within our practice area you are welcome to register with us and our reception staff will be happy to guide you through the procedure.
Patients are seen by appointment and the Receptionist will be pleased to help you with this. Appointments are available all day Monday to Friday. Please give as much notice for routine and non-urgent appointments as possible. Appointments are often booked in advance and if you leave it until the last minute, an appointment may not be available on the day you want it.
We now have the Electronic Prescription Service at the Practice. Once you order your repeat prescription, and it is authorised by the GP, your prescription can then be sent electronically to your chosen Pharmacy. This service will take the hassle out of ordering and collecting prescriptions from the Surgery.

I have read some of the reviews of our Fantastic Primary Care Centre. People obviously don't understand there are protocols to follow within the NHS , that does not entitle you to rubbish these hardworking, dedicated people who care for us all so well in Shelton.
If I could give these heroes 10 stars I would everyday of the week because they are all outstanding individuals. I am so grateful to them for my care. Thank you.
