Minster Garth is a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian Mansion house, situated next to Beverley Minster, overlooking a delightful green pasture. Legend has it that in medieval times, Saint John of Beverley, the Archbishop of York had a residence there - either a Monastery or a Manor House.

This exquisite Guest House is most convenient for Beverley's choice of excellent cafes, pubs, inns and bars, and is within a few minutes walk of the Wednesday and Saturday markets. The guest house is just to the West of Beverley Centre. The rear of the house is well tended and has seating where guests can relax.

Can’t really complain when it’s this cheap. The room was nice enough. Although my radiator was stuck at a really high temperature, and it’s worth noting the minster bells ring every hour, which probably isn’t great for sleep quality.

I stayed here with my partner for 1 night . On arrival we rang the guy who ran the place who gave us a code to get the key to our room from a security box outside the door. We got the key but it didn’t work. My partner pushed the door and it opened without a key. We text the guy who told us if we wanted to cancel then we wouldn’t be charged. When my partner replied explaining we had already paid he then text to tell us to “ clear off and leave him in peace! “
What a disgrace! Some customer service eh?
The room had cobwebs and the milk portions were off. As we had travelled a few hours

Not great. You get what you pay for. It is cheap but accommodation is basic. The linen smelled clean. It is right next to the minster so you have bells ringing quite loudly through the night, not good if you are a light sleeper. Getting in was not easy either, owner quite rude. Took about fifteen messages to get the codes for the doors, then quite rude that I didn't thank them. Would not return.

The room was not as described or shown in the photos. I booked through Airbnb and have shared my concerns with them. I didn’t stay and drove home! Do not stay here.

Guest House Paradiso is cleaner.
Toe/finger nails all over the floor (16 in total I counted), bathroom was a building site, sweat stains on pillow, 1 towel for 3 of us and it had a hole in it and a stain didn't even use the shower it'll have just made us more dirtier. Poo stain on the outside of the toilet (How's that possible?) FREE Parking was basically find somewhere as it was residential parking and not Hotel Parking, had to park 3 streets away. Half of the lights didn't work, toilet had a poo stain on the outside (how?) TV didn't work (no signal) one of the 3 glasses was cracked, the door
