We first opened our doors way back in 2003. Since then our philosophy has remained exactly the same; freshly cooked, authentic Thai food, served the way it should be - simple and without the fuss! Made the way it is in Street Cafe's all over Thailand, in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. An independent cafe, family owned and run by Malinee, Mark, Nathan, Jasmine and our lovely team.

The food at Jino's is always gorgeous and the new unit (the old cinema entrance) is very clean and inviting. Mixed gender bathrooms were immaculately clean and the server was welcoming, casual and definitely helped with the comfortable, nonthreatening feeling of the restaurant. Food here is freshly prepared and absolutely gorgeous with choices galore of some of the best Thai dishes you can get your hands on in Leeds. For the price, less than £10 for the lunch deal with appetizer, main and a soft drink, you would be hard pressed to find a more substantial and delicious option anywhere near that

Went here last night. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was bright and very nice inside. It was a bit noisy for me but it was full, so no surprise really.
Our starter of Pak Tod was very greasy and we ended up leaving some of it. The mains, in fairness, did make up for this in a big way. They were excellent and absolutely no complaints from either of us. A starter, two mains with fried rice and two soft drinks was less than £30, so it didn't break the bank either. Would I go back? I certainly would.

Food here is always top notch and the service is excellent!
I've eaten in and had takeaway from Jino's many times and the experience is always great. Ate in last night for the first time at their lovely new venue by Manahatta and we were seated by the very friendly owner who fit our group in without a booking. All of the staff are friendly and attentive. It's BYOB and they provide you with glasses and wine coolers as standard.
Once again the food was great and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, not to mention the prices which are very reasonable!

We gone for lunch but it was raining and windy and a bit of snowing. We got in and the staff was smiling and asked us what drinks did we want and we ordered two lunchtime combos. Very friendly. They came relatively fast. Not bad at all. We finished them in no time, paid and said bye-bye. Next time we will be there again. Opening the door and the weather changed a little bit - no more snow :-)

Whoops, it's actually called Jinos!!!!!

I've been meaning to add a review about this cafe for ages. I've been a few times and it's a great family owned little cafe.
Bring your own alcohol, cafe is basic and staff, hmmm is a different story! First few times I went was about 2 years ago and she was very rude but we kept going as we thought it was funny and added to its uniqueness! But we went back the other day, we had a different waitress and she was very nice and friendly! It was a surprise that she was nice and we said she must be new! Ha.
The food is no frills, always

This review is a bit of a throw back really. And as much a memory of a fantastic time.

It was summer, a year ago now. We needed somewhere to eat, it needed to be fast and to appeal to all six of us. We were stationed just up the road from the Arndale and lost for ideas.

On our walk in we saw Jinos. We took a table outside (and that was the magic i think, 8pm and we sat outside, in England!!) We had our own drinks which they were happy to leave us with. We had huge portions of hot food. The staff were really friendly and the bill was pretty small for the amount of food consumed.

We even had entertainment

I really really owe Jino's a new write up, as I've been numerous times since 2010, and they're still top drawer in my book. Why? Not because they're decadent, and not even because I'd say they're my fave for Thai. Because they're cheap, they're quick, they do great service and I *always* leave feeling wonderful. That wonderful Goldilocks full, warmed by a tasty, delicious Thai green curry, and a tin of my favourite coconut water.

The outdoor seating, in the brief summer, is where the magic really happens. I know - next to Otley road? Even so, we're

Well, I must say, I'm really surprised that Jino's has got some bad reviews! This is my local Thai, and me and my friends love this place.

My dish of choice would have to be Pad Thai and some sweetcorn patties - yum!! The place is really quaint and the staff are lovely. I couldn't fault the food, it's lovely.

I went here with some friends before a concert for some food and beer. Of course, we didn't know beforehand that they don't serve beer! You can, however, bring your own, so we made a quick trip to the Arcadia pub since it was only a few doors down and grabbed a few bottles to have with our meal. Our food came quickly and my noodles in a spicy basil sauce were really quite tasty. My friends enjoyed their food as well and were pleased with the vegetarian options. It wasn't the best food I've ever had and I couldn't speak for the authenticity of the dishes, but I had

I got a thai red curry and he got the jungle curry. Although mine was quite nice and creamy, it wasn't anything special and tasted as good as a curry paste from Sainsbury's and a can of coconut milk at home! The Jungle curry was really unimpressive and watery. Staff seemed friendly but moved us to a table next to the toilet mid-way through. Not coming here again, felt like I wasted £20!

We love Jino's for lunch. I find the staff are sweet and efficient. The menu is unchanging, but we like exploring and trying new dishes. Most importantly it is always freshly cooked and filling. We struggle to spend more than £25 for a blow out lunch and leave alot more satisfied than most of the other lunch places in central Headingley. Definitely one of the stars in this area and far better than it's competitors, i.e. Sukhothai, Sala Thai.

For the price, it is a fantastic place. Nice food, healthy portions and tasty. It isn't a posh place like Sala Thai or a chain like Sukothai, just a little thai café. I love it.

Now, after seeing so many positive reviews of this place I was quite excited to give it a try. We got a take out as we were starving and the restaurant was full. The tantalising smell haunted me all the way home but it seems that the smell and the price were the only things to recommend it. We had a beef curry, a chicken curry and the seafood noodles.th meat and sauces were clearly cooked separately as the beef just tasted like unseasoned meat and the same goes for the chicken. For the starter we had a chicken satay (ok if not that tender),the sweetcorn fritters ( so oily I had to use a paper towel

OH OH OH... This place saddens me to the core... Truely.

New to Leeds I was really starting to feel the withdrawal symptoms I was getting from lack of asian food... especially thai food. This place was near mine so I could just walk to it an I decided to get my Pad Thai fix and BOY was I greatly disappointed like no other and BELIEVE ME... I'm NOT a picky eater.

The Pad Thai seemed like it was basically pre-cooked flat rice noodles with some crappy sauce poured on top and microwaved. The veggies on top weren't fresh either... it was HORRIBLE...

I really don't understand that

Despite its fairly confusing appearance (the outside looks like a bargain-basement takeaway, the inside like Tropical World), Jino's is one of the best places in town to enjoy top quality Thai food at reasonable prices in an unstuffy atmosphere. There's a lot of choice on both the lunchtime and evening menus, with plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans too, and you can easily pick up dinner for two for about £15. Spend the change on a nice bottle of wine to bring with you and you have one of the best value evenings out in Leeds. I particularly recommend the Gaeng Matsaman, an aromatic

Jino's must have opened about 5 years ago and from the look of things their business is booming now more than ever. There is always people sipping on green tea and smoking outside and is always busy inside when I go for Tod Man Khao Pode (you must order, just gorgeous and only £2.85!)

The Thai restaurant provides drinks however most people bring their own booze for the cheapness factor! I find being able to bring my own bottle of red just makes the restaurant even better.

The chefs cooks up authentic Thai cuisine which is becoming increasingly popular among students in the outskirts of

What a find! Popped in with a few pals one night last week & fell in love with the place. Didn't realise at first it wasn't licensed for alcohol but no worries as BYO was the order of the day!
Mates kept the table while I legged it down to somerfield for a 6 pack & a bottle of wine for the ladies. They didn't charge corkage and even gave us glasses & a corkscrew with a lovely Thai smile. The BYO kept the cost of the meal embarrassingly low and made the meal a lot more kind've personal, if that makes sensedrinking my fave tipple in a restaurant at supermarket prices

Great little Thai place whihc is everything that Sukothai is not. Cheap, good value and no frills. The place foes a takeaway menu which is excellent value. Reminiscent of more of a canteen than a resteraunt, if you're not after anything fancy there you could do worse than this place. Bring your own wine, and no corkage too.

This is not somewhere to take someone on a posh date, top end it is not. However what it lacks in fuss and frills it makes up for with price, food and no corkage.
It does a takeaway menu at a reduced price so you can enjoy your fave Thai dishes in your own home.

Jino's is a great little BYO Thai place with delicious and authentic Thai food at very good prices. If you're looking for something fancy pants then it is not for you but if you want to be reminded of cafes actually in Thailand then go! Sevice is very quick and the staff are nice too.

I never know if it's just me, but I don't rate Jino's that much. It's pretty basic, and I'm always a little bit disappointed. But it is a cafe, not a fancypants restaurant, so probably it's just me being a tw*t.
