MI&Co, which was originally named as 'Mathew Imison Photography' was established ten years ago in 2010, as an independent family photography studio - in order to offer a truly individual, quality service. We then rebranded to MI&Co The Portrait Studio in 2015, to reflect the growing team which collectively produces the work we are all so proud of.
We are passionate about capturing you and your family throughout the various stages of your life, with a style and finesse that will last the test of time as a quality piece of wall art, as well as a fantastic memory. Capturing unique images takes serious talent, personality and creativity to really achieve something that you will want to hang on your wall for a lifetime.
We recommend you bring a choice of clothes with you (two or three outfits for each person) and props or toys are also a good idea. All shoots last between 1 and 2 hours (depending on your voucher package) and take place at our unique studio in Shipley. The studio offers excellent facilities, ranging from different creative backgrounds for a distinct look, to practical comforts, like air conditioning.
Within our table top range we have two styles of frame mouldings, the 'Gift' and the 'Bespoke'. Our 'Gift' range includes an elegant black narrow frame whilst the 'Bespoke' range is a superior upgrade option allowing greater personalisation to suit your taste, with more colour and moulding choices to match / compliment your larger wall product options.

We recently went for a new born photo shoot, the photographer was very professional and made us feel comfortable throughout. When we went to view the photographs they were excellent quality and they helped us chose some great shots that complemented each other really well.

From start to finish the professionalism we saw was great, made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Was able to view and deside what we wanted to purchase, no forcing or recommending more expensive products. The full experience was amazing, a big thank you to Mathew and all the team. My kids and I were gifted a buy a gift photo experience Christmas 2020, as it was due to expire 1 Dec 21, I arranged a shoot with the most local studio offering this experience - MI&Co. The week of the shoot I wasn't sure I really wanted one of the most difficult times of my life captured on camera however we proceeded to attend and I'm very glad I did. The photographer was so accommodating, professional and kind. We had a few outfit changes, casual, nice, Christmassy jumpers/ tops and fleece onsies/ dressing gowns. My boys and I enjoyed it so much and I left feeling haply with how it went but

Had a family photo shoot, after winning a competition and also having been recommended by a friend.
Was expecting my first child when I won the competition and the studio allowed be to use the voucher at a later date so I could incorporate my newborn into the pictures.
When attending the studio the photographer was lovely, Craig, he really worked well with us to achieve the shots that we wanted, and even spent some time getting our dog the perfect shot too. A real family affair.
When viewing the photos on our slideshow day, we were greeted and taken down to a cinema room to view all of our pictures

We had an incredible experience for our bump shoot and newborn shoot, very accommodating staff and so friendly. The photographer was great made us so comfortable and then again for the newborn shoot, she was patient with the baby and gave us plenty of time. Very professional and their work is amazing 👏

I was fortunate enough to win a voucher for this studio entitling me to a free shoot and small photo to keep. I loved that the studio allowed pets and was keen to get some family photos with our cat. We absolutely fell in love with the photos they took! We ended up purchasing several more products as we couldn't bear not having them forever. The photographer was very friendly and great with our cat, all of the staff were very professional and attentive. Would definitely recommend! We can't wait to receive our finished prints.

Absolutely brilliant! The photographer was fabulous and had the kids laughing and running about til they were giddy - even their normally-shy Gran was happy to be in a few shots.
When we went back for the photo viewing it was a really special experience - you really helped us sift through and find our favourite shots, and had amazing ideas for the collection that captured the different aspects of both kids’ personalities.
Very highly recommended - we can’t wait to see the final products!

I bought a voucher as a gift for my partner's special birthday last year. Due to covid restrictions, we couldn't use it until this year but M I & Co Studio were really helpful in rearranging the photo shoot session.
We attended recently for over an hour with our 2 dogs. It was great fun! Matt, our photographer was great with the dogs & put us at ease. We went back to view all the photos taken, recently & again really enjoyed the experience & the staff member who showed them to us( Craig, I think) was really friendly & helpful & guided us to our best value deals.
