When Valero Energy's Pembroke Refinery undertook a 50m Cracking and Olefins Major Maintenance event, a key aspect of the 'Turnaround and Inspection' was the cleaning and maintenance of their Alkylation plant. The presence of highly toxic and aggressive high octane gasoline chemicals in the Alkylation unit are highly hazardous and as such a rigorous cleaning regime is required prior to any maintenance of the plant.
Austwel team integrated well into the TAR, completing their own work in a timely manner and responding to other contractor requests when required. Never any issues with whatever work came their way. In my opinion the Austwel Team are a valuable asset to the refinery. Would be very happy to use again on other contracts.
Austwel invests in Health & Safety Management training resulting in excellent, consistent performance on site. We have undertaken HAVS monitoring and we are very active with training our workforce, specifically in confined space work, safe use of harness, permit procedure and more recently nitrogen training.
