W.J.Holmes & Son Donaghcloney Family Butchers was established in 1974 by William James (Jim) Holmes who sadly passed away in 2004. Jim's son William is now in control of the business. Since 1974 the business has grown from strength to strength. We have 3 full time staff; William Holmes proprietor, Alan Holmes and Adam Holmes and one part time worker, Martin Beggs who does our deliveries.

The shop supplies a wide range of products from the basic beef, lamb, pork and poultry to a full selection of marinaded and stuffed meats. A delicatessen counter, groceries, vegetables and confectionery are also available. We also do tray packs into various shops and Service Stations. These include Donaghcloney's Nisa, Waringstown's Nisa, Mace Waringstown, Parkgate Service Station Lurgan and Bleary's Today's Local.

Great butchers. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean. The roasts are always good and the sausages and gourmet steakburgers are the best we've ever had. Top class

Got the Christmas pack and have to say everything was amazing Turkey and Ham were beautiful. absolutely delicious and also got roast for Boxing day which was melt in the mouth. thanx

Currently self-isolating so I placed my order this morning by phone, paid by card this afternoon via a phone call and my order was delivered straight to my door this evening. Excellent service and a great choice of quality meat. A great range of gluten free products too. Thank you.

Living in England, we love to buy our meat from William, he has served us well over the last 10 years ( when we lived in donaghcloney) and also now when we come to visit. All meat is of top quality but our favourite, the fillet steaks are truly amazing .... Never had better anywhere else.

Excellent quality food at reasonable prices. You will pay more for poorer quality meat at larger ships. All the staff are always very helpful and nothing is ever a problem. Very lucky to have this on our doorstep.

Just about to have a roast beef dinner with roast beef from holmes butchers shop.the meat is always lovely and tender.the shop is small but has a great range of sausages kebabs and many other products.the roasts etc can be purchased in the local shop also which is where we usually get holmes products.however when we do go to the shop the staff are always helpful and friendly.long live the small independant trader! mr.holmes and his staff do a great job. alan and ethel curran
