Michael White is a member of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, registered with the newly re-named Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC formerly HPC). He studied at Chelsea School of Chiropody and qualified as a State Registered Chiropodist. Michael started his career in 1976 has run his own practice in Ruislip Manor since 1982.
Our new patients are mainly recommended by existing patients but we receive referrals from GPs, allied health professionals and organisations, as well as self referrals. Minor surgical procedures such as nail surgery (PNA) are usually carried out on a Tuesday or Friday, at approx 5pm by prior arrangement.
The practice is ideally situated ON the 1/4 section of the roundabout intersecting Victoria Road and Torrington Road in Ruislip Manor. This is not the roundabout on the shopping parade, it's the next one down heading towards South Ruislip. Inside the porch on the right hand side is the practice entrance, the white door that says RECEPTION, adjacent to the front door of the property.
Traditionally and in most GP Surgeries to secure a diagnosis, clippings of the nail are taken and sent to a laboratory for two tests -microscopy and culture. The second requires the sample to be placed in a culture and encouraged to grow which takes about 2-3 weeks. If growth is seen then the test is considered positive.
Our feet cover approximately 110,000 miles in an average lifetime, equivalent to over four times around the Earth. That's a long way for our feet to carry our body weight but they are often ignored until they start to ache, swell or become painful.
Foot issues typically start with either pain, aching or swelling which could be attributed to general wear and tear of the feet, but their colour, texture and appearance may also reveal disorders that can stem from other parts of the body.Podiatrists are often the first practitioner to diagnose disorders and ailments; sometimes symptoms of skin conditions and some conditions listed above may be detected during a foot examination.

Michael was very friendly knowledgeable and explained what was actually wrong rather than what I thought was wrong
He dealt with the problems quickly and offered advice .
I felt at ease from the moment.i walked in to his his office He is professional friendly and good humoured.
Treatment done and I'll come back should the need arise .

Took my 7yr old daughter with persistent verrucas that had not gone despite months of over-the-counter treatments. Michael was efficient, thorough and very friendly - and managed to treat all the verrucas in record time and with very little discomfort for my daughter. He also allowed us to arrive early before the surgery officially opened, so my daughter would not miss too much of school. His prices are only a fraction of what I was quoted by London private podiatrists (and the NHS couldn't treat her as she was too young for the usual treatments). If ever the need arises, I will not hesitate to
