Alpha Health
Ross was awarded the L.M Nadoo award for Practical Osteopathic Skills in his final year. Ross has always had an interest in biomechanics and how the body functions, and after visiting an Osteopath for multiple different injuries during his sporting career he decided Osteopathy was a good fit. Ross is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is also qualified to provide kinesiology taping.

Recently he has added Sports Trauma Management and Automated External Defibrillation qualifications to his skill set. Ross further developed his Osteopathic skills by treating at a number of specialist external clinics while studying.
Services
Our Osteopaths will use a wide range of treatment methods to help relieve your symptoms and prevent them from coming back. These include joint mobilisation/manipulation, stretching, massage and exercise. All patients are required on their visit to book for an Initial consultation. Appointments after this will be booked as a return or 'on-going' consultation.
At Alpha Health we combine a number of different treatment methods to create a bespoke treatment designed around your needs and goals. Or Osteopaths are dedicated to helping you get back to doing the things you enjoy without pain, and take great pride in their success in doing so. Recently we have moved into our new clinic, with much larger, better equipped rooms.
I would recommend Alpha Health to anyone who needs an Osteopath. I had severe back pain but after only one appointment and exercises given to me to do at home the pain disappeared completely within a few days. Ross was very good at explaining everything he did and why he did it in an easy to understand way.
Alpha Health was founded in 2016 by Will Barker and Ross Thompson. Both Will and Ross studied Osteopathy and gained awards for their performance at the British School of Osteopathy, now known as University College of Osteopathy. Both founders have a long history of competitive sport dating back to their childhoods.
You do not have to undress, and we will endeavour to make sure as little clothing is removed as possible at any given time. However, in most Osteopathic appointments you will be required to undress, potentially down to your underwear, so that your Osteopath can carry out an assessment to allow for the best care for you.

I had a problem with my foot and I found that Ross was incredible. He explained everything very well and gave me some exercises to do at home. After a few appointments, the pain is now almost gone and I cannot thank him enough.
He knows his stuff and also he is very pleasant, (as are the rest of staff).
Very, very happy.

I have been going to the osteopathy clinic for 4 weeks and cannot praise Ross enough! He explains everything to do with the treatment, without blinding me with science. I have seen a marked improvement already. The practice is smart and clean and I think good value for money.

Back in August last year, I developed Achilles tendinitis after 'overdoing it' with running. Like a lot of people, I chose to ignore it and it just kept getting worse. I did a lot of searches on Facebook and Google for somewhere to get treatment and I made contact with a number of places.
However, this was the first one that got back to me and seemed to understand what my issues were. So I booked.
I certainly didn't regret it! Ross was excellent at explaining the mechanics of my body movements and identified a number of underlying factors that were causing undue stresses on my Achilles.
