Welcome to Wood Green Preschool Playgroup (also known as 'The Play Cabin'.) We provide high quality childcare and nursery education for children aged 2 - 5 years old living in Wood Green and surrounding areas. With a track record stretching back to 1979, we are an established setting, known for providing reliable, quality and flexible childcare.
Our premises are purpose built; offering two play rooms and a fantastic outdoor play area all in a secure, gated environment. We aim to provide a home from home nurturing environment that encourages your children to learn and explore confidently, whilst ensuring a high level of safety at all times.

Services
Your children will be looked after by a highly qualified staff team who are passionate about the work they do. We encourage our staff to continue their professional development to ensure we are continuously improving our practice. Ofsted is the national body that regulates and inspects services that care for children and young people. You can access a copy of our most recent inspection report here. We also take part in the Haringey Quality Assurance Scheme. The scheme aims to support settings to maintain a high quality of care.
The Early Years Foundation Stage is the framework that sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children are ready for school and gives children a broad range of knowledge and skills for the future.
We value the involvement of parents in the setting and work with you to ensure that children make seamless transitions between learning at home and at the preschool. We achieve this through maintaining effective communication between keyworkers and parents. Key workers use the information you provide about your child's interests at home to create a development plan that takes those interests into consideration.
When your child is due to start the manager will agree a suitable payment plan with you. All fees must be paid in advance. This may be weekly, monthly or termly, depending on your situation. Should you have any difficulty paying the fees at any point during your child's time with us, please discuss this with the manager immediately so appropriate arrangements can be made.
