The Kings Arms Hotel, Sandwich, Kent, is a traditional English Inn, circa 1580. The original charm and character has been retained over the years leaving it unspoilt and an ideal place to relax and unwind. As a privately owned Inn, the Kings Arms Hotel is able to provide the attention to detail, flexibility and standards often sought, but rarely found.
Inside The Kings Arms Hotel is just as appealing as outside, with the original open fireplace in the bar lounge area as you walk in, which invites you in to enjoy that 'home from home' feeling. The accommodation offer also includes a 20% discount when dining in our restaurant on either a Friday or Sunday evening.

Services
The Inn itself dates back to early Tudor times and was first recorded as being known as the Queen Arms. Indeed the cast iron plaque on the front of the building depicts the royal coat of arms of Elizabeth I (1558 - 1603). Elizabeth herself visited Sandwich in 1573 and stayed opposite the inn at Kings Lodgings, built for her father, Henry VIII.
The accommodation offer also includes a 20% discount when dining in our restaurant on either a Friday or Sunday evening. Rib-eye Steaks, we also offer a great daily selection of specials. For example this could include fresh local fish like Wing of Skate, Sea-bass, Plaice, Soles & Alike, or Seafood Salads and Platters, Calves Liver, Rack of Romney Marsh Lamb, our renowned Curries and super salads like Breast of Chicken, Prawn and Avocado.

Was driving through sandwich and wanted to stop for a bite, found the kings arms and they managed to find us a table on a Sunday near Christmas at peak lunch time.
Table was set up lovely, high chair perfect size, really really friendly and helpful staff.
Food was amazing! Already planning on coming back!

Went for a family meal last night, everything was absolutely amazing, food was honestly out of this world, service couldn't have been better, all the staff were absolutely lovely, the place is lovely. My sister and her fiance have been before and this is why we went but the rest of us it was the first time. We will all defiantly be back, none of us could decide what to have from the menu as there was so much lovely choice. Can't wait to come again. Thank you

Stayed 2 nights. Breakfast great. Ate dinner one night, food perfect. Quirky room, very old building we stayed in the oldest part, but charming and full of character. Very friendly and helpful, professional staff. Can not fault the whole experience. Throughly recommended a walk around Sandwich. Full of historic buildings and little shops. Perfect place to stay and visit.

We were a group of six and had lunch on the patio area last Tuesday. Will not bore everyone with the details, except to say we experienced three separate unfortunate incidents of our own making! The staff could not have been more understanding, patient and helpful. Despite everything we enjoyed a delicious lunch and would highly recommend this lovely traditional old pub. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness. Also thank you to other very understanding diners!
