F.Shaw & Co Ltd was founded by Fred Shaw in Lord Street Huddersfield in 1903. The company was involved with ventilation from its foundation. Manufacturing decorative cowls for passive ventilation systems and providing early ventilation systems for the local mills and factories.
The company played a part in the growing Huddersfield textile industry, supply large numbers of zinc, water tight packing case linings in which coils of fine worsteds were exported to world markets.Other products at this time included a variety of textile machinery guards, oiling systems, rollers and covers for teasing, spinning and scribbling processes.

At our manufacturing facility in Huddersfield we design, machine & assemble a wide range of bespoke & standard equipment for a varied and diverse customer base both in the UK and overseas.
We have a CNC Laser, Punch, Plasma cutter, Press Brake and panel bending machines on site and with highly trained programming and operating engineers working alongside our experienced design team meaning we have the capabilities to manufacture to the customer's exact specification.We also have a powder coating and spray painting plant on site.

F.Shaw & Co Ltd have been manufacturing the Fresh-air range of bespoke AHU's in Huddersfield since the mid 1970's which means we have a wealth of experience in air handling unit design and manufacture. To complement our bespoke AHU's we also offer a standard range of sizes. This aids designers when working out layouts, and can offer ideas of size at design stage and in many cases these sizes can be perfect for the project in mind.
F.Shaw & Co Ltd specialise in turn key kitchen project solutions. Offering a design to completion package which can include the kitchen canopy, supply AHU, and extract fan, ductwork, controls & gas watch. We can also supply stainless steel splash backs, service spines & perpetration tables. We provide full drawings, full specification details and all documentation - method statements etc.
