I am a fully qualified ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) and have been teaching now for 32 years. I am very passionate about my chosen profession and aim to maintain my high pass rate. I aspire to create a relaxed, calm learning environment for my students as I believe this achieves the best results.
You can apply for a provisional driving licence when you're 15 years and 9 months old. You can normally start driving on your 17th birthday and your first lesson can be arranged for this date. It is essential you hold a valid UK Provisional Driving Licence before starting your driving lessons. You can apply online or by post by completing a D1 application form, which you can get from the DVLA form ordering service or from a Post Office.
It's a common question that some of you may have. You might have an idea of what happens in your first driving lesson, others take a guess or go on what someone else has said in the past. There are myths that you can spend the whole hour stationary and the car doesn't move. We have heard of companies out there that do that, but it's not something we practice at Karl's Driving School.
At Karl's Driving School we offer you a very competitive rate with a quality service to match. We also offer you a simple price structure, we don't believe in charging you extra for evening or weekend lessons. Our lessons are conducted on a 1-1 basis and we will give you a full one hour lesson. We accept payment via PayPal, credit card over the phone or you can pay cash to the instructor on the day of your lesson.
