Durnsford Lodge is a friendly comfortable home situated within easy walking distance of the varied facilities in Stoke Village. Care is provided by friendly staff to ensure our Residents are well cared and provided for. Most of our staff are trained to Level 2 in Health and Social Care and are encouraged to develop their skills further to ensure they respect privacy, dignity and independence of the Residents 24 hours a day.
The owner of the Business is in the home most days during the week. We welcome short and long term stays, respite and day care. Potential Residents are welcome to visit the Home and spend a few hours with us before reaching a decision to join us. We offer a range of activities from visiting entertainers to in-house activities such as bingo, board games, card games and armchair exercises.

Services
Our aims are to provide a comprehensive range of quality services to our residents 24 hours a day and to ensure that their individual needs are identified and met in the most appropriate way, by staff who are well motivated, trained and qualified in their work. Our Statement of Purpose has been produced in line with the requirements of the legislation and guidance that we are measured by.
Durnsford Lodge employs thirty staff consisting of a Care Manager, senior carers, carers, two cooks, a domestic, kitchen assistant and a handyman. The majority of staff have NVQ's or are working towards gaining Diploma's in Health and Social Care. Most of the staff have worked at Durnsford for several years.

The property has been carefully adapted and extended to provide a high standard of accommodation and facilities. The Home offers two comfortable and sunny sitting rooms which overlook the gardens together with a separate quiet area offering plenty of space for Residents and visitors alike.
All meals are freshly prepared by our experienced cooks using locally sourced produce, where possible, an appetising and varied menu is offered ensuring choice and good nutritional balance. Special dietary requirements are also catered for. All of our food is delivered fresh two times a week from local providers.
