Marks Tey Pharmacy has been an independent community pharmacy for over 14 years and is conveniently based in Marks Tey with easy access to the A12 and A120. We pride ourselves in our outstanding customer service and professional medical advice which helped us to establish a loyal customer base and to welcome new patients on an ongoing basis.
Large pharmacy chains in supermarkets are dominating our community, but by having friendly, knowledgeable, approachable staff and pharmacist we are able to compete and have gained an excellent reputation. We have teamed up with Numark which is an organisation that was formed over 50 years ago to help support pharmacists give their customers the best service possible.

Services
We offer a wide range of health and pharmacy services, some you might not expect from your local pharmacy. Our Independent Pharmacist Prescriber is a highly trained health professional and can offer advice and treatment for many minor ailments & minor injuries. You can talk to our pharmacist in confidence even about the most personal symptoms, and you don't need to make an appointment.
Here at Marks Tey Pharmacy, Colchester, we are able to offer consultations with our Pharmacist Independent Prescriber. A pharmacist independent prescriber (IP) is responsible and accountable for the assessment of patients with diagnosed or undiagnosed conditions and for decisions about the clinical management required including prescribing.
We offer a delivery service for our regular, less mobile customers who are living in and around Marks Tey. Please note: You DO need to be at home to acknowledge the delivery of the medication. We only hand over the medicine to the patient/carer, after having confirmed that the name and address of the patient is correct and we obtain a signature from the patient/carer indicating safe receipt of the medicine.
We can monitor repeat prescriptions and batches of vulnerable patients and make sure that the medication will always be ready on time and delivered if required. What is 'repeat dispensing'? If you're regularly prescribed medicines, your pharmacist can offer repeat dispensing services, which means fewer trips to the GP just to get another prescription.
A Medicines Use Review is a free NHS service. It is an appointment with the pharmacist to check how you are getting on with your medicine, which is useful if you regularly take several prescription medicines or have a long-term illness. This confidential service will help you find out more about your medicine, identify any problems you may be having with taking your medicine as intended, and help you take your medicine to best effect.
