Named after the world renowned opera house in Milan, La Scala was established in 1999 as a family orientated restaurant, with an aim to provide classic Italian dishes to its clientele. Situated in the suburb of Millhouses, La Scala not only provides its visitors with classic and wholesome cuisine but also with an atmosphere to match.
The interior of the restaurant reflects that of a traditional Italian trattoria, with features and fittings centred on a theatrical theme. The restaurant serves two floors, with the lower ground floor also catering for parties and those who wish to indulge in the wine bar. There is a car park at the rear of the building and visitors can enter from the bar entrance or from Abbeydale Road.

I can not belive this place is a 1 minute walk from my house. You can go far and wide to find good food and service but sometimes the best places are at your front door.
Tonight I've had the nicest meal I've had in a while.
The starter was immense and main course unbelievable.
Great service and the owner was very welcoming.

Not been for a while but must say we've missed it, brought the children for the youngest ones birthday and it was as good as ever, kids had pizza, proper Italian style!
Wife had lasagne and I had the creamy
chicken tagliatelle, then ice cream with a candle for birthday boy
Great friendly service as per usual, very well looked after
Will be back soon, opens at 5.30 now perfect time for the kids, then home for bedtime

First impressions of this establishment were truly impressive. Stunning and unusual decor of this small and a little crammed Italian restaurant. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating despite the business of the restaurant. And food... well... what can I say?? Outstanding!! The risotto Scala was to die for as well as the tiramisu dessert which would melt in your mouth... totally recommend and I also have to say that it is great value for money.
