Wooden pallets are the most commonly used pallets in the world comprising 90% of all pallets made - the major reason for this popularity is when taking into account the qualities they offer, wooden pallets are a cost-effective buy. Compared to plastic and metal products they are not only recyclable and made from renewable sources, but they are cheaper, stronger and more rigid in relation to their cost and can be easily repaired if damaged.
Somerlap supplies large quantities of reconditioned pallets in a wide range of grades and sizes. The standard EU pallet size is stocked - 1200 x 800mm, along with a range of different grades in light, moderate and heavy-weight construction. We sell the UK's standard pallet size - 1200 x 1000mm, which is supplied in a wide range of grades from a four-way perimeter base to a two-way reversible pallet.
We are also able to offer used MDF and chipboard intended for use in packaging applications. Strict quality control ensures only clean and undamaged panels are offered. Softwood plywood is manufactured through a process of laminating thin sheets of softwood veneer together. Softwood plywood is strong and highly resistant to impact.
