At Personal Best we have a professional and experienced team of specialists who deliver bespoke exercise, injury rehabilitation and nutrition programmes. Our team provides services in West Lothian, including clients from Armadale, Bathgate, Whitburn, Linlithgow, Falkirk and Livingston. We have a very experienced and professional team who work together to provide the most effective service for our clients and get results.
Nutrition is a key part of exercise and particularly for changing body shape. Our dietician is highly skilled in developing a nutrition plan that suites your tastes, lifestyle and exercise. At Personal Best we provide nutritional services throughout West Lothian, including Armadale, Whitburn, Bathgate, Livingston, Falkirk and Linlithgow.
Sports massage can be varied to achieve many outcomes. Many will use sports massage as a mode of recovery. This is a great way to reduce the risk of injury, to maximise your training results, to prepare the body for competition after a heavy training cycle or to recovery post event. We have various techniques which support this and we provide after care advice with all treatments.
The personal best team are very experienced and qualified in designing weight loss programmes for our personal training clients. To cut body fat and achieve weight loss it is important to look at both your exercise and nutrition habits and build a routine which creates a calorie deficit. In essence to reduce body fat we need to consume/ eat less calories than we burn through activity and exercise each day.
In 2008 one of our personal training clients was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the time there were no qualifications for training people diagnosed with cancer in the UK, so we studied an American course through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Upon becoming qualified as a cancer exercise trainer we started working with cancer charities throughout Scotland to support cancer survivors with exercise advice and support.
