If you've ever wanted to know more about our staff and just how long they've been in the industry, this is the page for you. I joined the family business in 1991 where I introduced a dedicated clothing area within the store which was a first for any bike shop in Scotland. All I can say is the last 25 years have flown past!
Since then I have taken on the role of purchasing of the accessories within the business and many of the office admin duties. It is still nice however when round at our shop to see many of our regular and loyal customers that I have dealt with over the 25 years. Apart from that a full time mum to two teenage kids.

Having bought a few bikes from dales in the past, I thought there was only one place to go when looking to upgrade my trusty 14 year old bike.
Can I say don't do a lot of reviews but I was so disappointed with the knowledge of the staff, I was kinda gutted Dales has fallen so far.
When asking questions about bikes they had on display I was told I'd be able to check the answer to these questions on the manufacturers website. I mean really!!!!!
Then tried another member of staff who was kind of disinterested I left the shop disheartened.
Time to look for a new bike shop who values loyal customers

After poor experiences with both Decathlon and Halfords we eventually visited Dales. This company would seem to have customer service at the core of the their business. Knowledgeable and very patient with a complete novice buyer, the buying process was great. This was followed by some over and beyond service form their workshop team. Would highly recommend this company if buying a bike at any level of ability.

Good service is pretty hard to come by. Outstanding service is rare in the extreme.
Dales fall in to that category. My bike went in for a service. All done quickly but the mechanic who did it suggested that they could improve how the bike was set up and make it more comfortable. I spent time yesterday morning with them doing just that. What a difference. Time well spent and Jonathan was brilliant. I learned loads too. Thanks gents. Genuinely appreciated.

Bought Giant Contend earlier this year and it’s been the single worst ‘customer experience’ I’ve ever had of buying anything, anywhere. Bought tubeless tyres and had them fitted, back tyre would not hold air for longer than 24 hours by which point it would be completely flat. Back to the shop, more sealant, no proper explanation. The problem persisted and to be fair, when I asked for the original tyres to be fitted it was done quickly. However, almost two weeks, several emails and two phone calls after returning the tubless tyres, I’m still waiting on a refund. And that is only ONE part

Absolute gents - called in on spec needing some help with my Scott Spark suspension - not a Scott dealer or account holder but still took a thorough look at the bike taking it apart to establish the level of damage and advised me of what parts to order direct. Served by Dougie, absolute gent, said it was his good deed for the day. Thank you Dougie.

Excellent service today! All staff were so helpful and really made purchasing a new bike foe my son easy and stress free. A special thanks to the bicycle mechanic that squeezed us in so that we could take the new bike away straight away. I would highly recommend. I won’t be going to any other bike shop in future! 5*

Bought a Giant road bike from Dale's and the service was excellent. Really professional and spent time explaining to me the do's and don'ts and felt at ease with all this. The guy in the shop was called Ian and really happy with the service he gave me and the questions I asked he had advice for them all. Thanks from Ed 👍

Contacted Dale's to arrange Warranty repair of my Giant Reign E+2 which is failing to power on.
Was told by service department on Friday 22nd January that as I'd bought bike from another reseller they'd not be looking at bike even although I'd offered to pay all labour costs. Apparently this is a management decision.
Bike was bought elsewhere as… during lockdown periods I was working in another part of UK due to my key worker status.
I've emailed Giants after sales manager with complaint, and regarding Dale's they've lost custom and any referrals from myself in future.
I thought the Warranty

I'd been searching for a bike for some time. I knew what I wanted - a ladies' frame hybrid, with hydraulic disc brakes, suspension, and the space to fit mudguards and panniers. I didn't think this was asking for the moon really, but according to what was available in other Glasgow bike shops, it seemed that this was a big ask, without spending a fortune.
That was, until we went to Dales. Dales are fantastic! They have a huge range of bikes, and we spotted one straight away that seemed as though it might be ideal. We were very quickly helped by Lynsday. She established exactly what

A number of years back I bought a Speciaized Rockhopper in a sale at Dales Glasgow shop, I had tried the bike before the sale and noticed no problems with the chainsets going uphill.
During the sale I selected the bike and had a look at other equipment while the bike was supposedly taken to the work shop for a check up, after taking it home I had problems with the gears I had to take it back for adjustment when it had been fine when I tried it out before the sale, the chain kept comong off uphill and the whole chainset had probably been changed for something that was worn out.

Dales is one of Glasgow's oldest cycling shops and has everything, from water bottles to helmets to clothing to, of course, bikes! Bikes of all shapes, sizes and for all terrains. Selling good quality bikes and giving an excellent service (bicycle built and checked through the workshop, free service within two months, free fitting etc) I'd recommend Dales to everyone.

My card was charge an additional £15 after buying online, I contacted the store to query this and they assured I had been wrongly charged for their 'Free Shipping' and it would be refunded. I contacted the store again and have followed up with several emails but still no response, Ignorance of your customers isn't a great business tactic.

To summarize I received a bike that must have been built by a bunch of hyenas, shipped it back (at my own expense) and eventually got a refund for the value of the bike. In all Dales Cycles is a cowboy operation that's left me out of pocket but will make me exercise more caution when buying online in the future.

Nice top end bikes in stock, but there is too many fashion victim bikes for sale. They could do with a better range of parts in stock. As for their prices, well of the last two parts i wanted to repair/upgrade my bike i found them over 25% cheaper else where. When asked to order 2 tyres i was told it may take a week or 2 arrive, i went else where and have done so since.

Great bike shop at the top of the town - a wee bit out of the town centre but not that far. this means it has the benefit of having a big showroom and loads of bikes and accessories out on show. there is something for the casual mountain bikers as well as tourers, roadies and hardcore mountain bikers. loads of clothes, books, DVDs as well. they guys in the shop are helpful and willing to spend time with you to make sure you get the right bike and that it fits

Dales is a really good cycle shop. They have an enormous selection of road, monutain and hybrid bikes. There is also a good selection of children's bikes. They have a great choice of safety gear and clothing and really anything bike related that you might need. The prices are usually pretty competitive and there are regular sales throughout the year. They often sell off ex demonstrator bikes at really good prices - a bargain considering these bikes have hardly been ridden. The staff are really friendly and helpful and really know their stuff.
