Great tasting cakes. Came to Manchester from London for my wife's birthday. After calling numerous cake shops and looking at reviews this is the one I chose. I'm not from the area , this was pretty close to city centre ! Great comms via email / phone. Great tasting cake! Great cake design! Highly recommend!

Ordered cake for my little niece's birthday but was really disappointed. It was an Elsa themed cake but the outlook was not presentable, nothing like Elsa and when we cut the cake, it was all mushy from inside and falling apart. Moreover, the flavour wasn't nice as well. Was so embarrassed to serve to our guests that we had to buy a simple cake in emergency.

I’m very disappointed with my recent purchase from Zara cakes in Prestwhich. It was much smaller then I expected and she charged me £65! For such a small cake. We have been ripped off, her picture was so deceiving. The picture looked like a full cake and it was a quarter of a cake. Please be careful when you buy from Zara’s cake.

They provided the wrong coloured flowers on the cake with no notice. When I turned up on the day they simply said they didn't have the colour but hadn't told me before hand so I could source them. They provided a small discount so I let it go as it was engagement day so I couldn't really do anything about it. So my cake didn't match the decor to my engagement party. Then, at the party I find out that the top layer was meant to be Nutella but was plain chocolate. My friends ordered me a surprise 23rd cake from this lady and all I can say is WOW!!!! The decoration was so intricate and beautiful but it tasted EVEN BETTER 😍!! I always find heavily decorated cakes don’t taste the best and are full of icing but this was the best tasting cake I’ve ever had. It was a Victoria sponge with Jam and buttercream and baked to perfection. It was gone within minutes! Thank you for a lovely delicious cake. I’ll definitely be placing an order for future celebrations!

Absolutely beautiful cakes. I asked them to do a jungle themed cake for my sons 1st birthday, I sent photos of something I’d like, they did a perfect job! Not only did it look stunning but the cake was divine too. They may not be the cheapest but they are 1000% worth the extra. Thank you again.

We have had cakes from Zara over the years and we were very happy and recommended her to others. So we ordered some cake mixes, not nice at all the instructions and quantities are way off and no clue as to tray size for baking, they are tasteless, don’t bother they are awful. I will never recommend or order anything from her again very disappointed.

Despite only ordering 1 cake from Zara cakes, so far, I'm giving this place 5 stars. Zara offers great customer service and help in creating the perfect cakes for any occasion. I couldn't decide what theme I wanted and Zara was so helpful in sending over pictures of past work and assisting with all my queries. I settled on a back to the future cake & I was more than happy with the cake when I arrived to pick it up.
The cake went down a treat, it was delicious and was worth every penny! I would highly recommend this place.

I have had a few of these cakes and they are amazing my mum had them for her birthday and they were decorated in leopard print and zebra print they looked fab.
My mum surprised me for my birthday with a selection of cupcakes there were two salted caramel my personal favourite, two Mars bar cupcake with caramel in the middle, jammy dodger cupcake with jam in the middle and a trays chocolate orange cupcake. They were decorated beautifully too so much time and effort. Defiantly a place to try for something really special.
