Riverside Veterinary Centre
Riverside Veterinary Centre was established in 1997 and is the only independent veterinary practice located within Stratford upon Avon. We take pride in offering a bespoke service whilst delivering a high standard of care and helpful advice, because your pets and animals are as important to us as they are to you.

Our fully trained veterinary team provide a Free 6 Month Health Check for our Senior Pet Citizens, a Free Initial Check-up for new puppies & kittens, as well as Free Diet and Dental Checks. We provide free parking directly next to the Veterinary Centre for easy access and to make your visit to the surgery as easy as possible.
Services
Our hard-working team are all long serving, experienced members of staff who enjoy welcoming your pets to the surgery and providing outstanding care. As Stratford upon Avon's only independent veterinary practice we are not restricted by corporate polices and protocols so can help you make informed health choices about your pet's health, wellbeing and care.
All pets on regular medication are seen at least every 6 months by our veterinary surgeons for monitoring. To ensure your pet does not miss their next review we can even send you an automated text reminder to book their next appointment. If you require information about a specific medication for your pet, please visit the NOAH website for all the latest data.
We highly recommend pet insurance for veterinary fees covering both illness and injury. Our team are happy to provide advice about the different types of policies that are available and can assist you when making a claim on your insurance policy. Depending on the policy, pet insurance can help towards the cost of your veterinary bills if your pet suffers an illness, is in an accident, gets injured or is lost or stolen.
Regulations specify that all puppies should be microchipped, it is also important to ensure that your dog's microchip is registered with your current contact details, so that should he or she go missing they can be reunited with you. The Microchips we implant are Identichip with BioTherm. Each microchip has a unique 15 digit number for identification which is then registered on the Identibase pet database along with the owners contact details.
In order to travel, pets are generally required to be microchipped, vaccinated against rabies and have the appropriate certificates, but as the requirements can vary from country to country it is best to plan ahead. Alice who is our Pet Travel Nurse is always available to provide the necessary advice on vaccinations, timescales, certificates and whether pest treatments are required prior to travel.

As a new client to Riverside Veterinary Centre, I was pleased of the setup they have quick and understanding appointments and staff. Still early days yet but things are moving in the right direction. Glad I changed vets.

Our first visit to Riverside after our move from Yorkshire. Dai and his staff were all very friendly and Dai was extremely knowledgable and helpful. Our Staffies, Sid and Rosie, enjoyed the visit (never happened before at a vets) and also all the attention they got.

A breath of fresh air after having moved our Pomeranian from another veterinary practice. Riverside immediately pointed out that booster jab's had not been administered which was impressive as that was not the reason why we were attending. Professional and personal service, feel in very safe hands, finally!!

My husband and I have been with this practice for many years and we cannot speak highly enough of the excellent services afforded us. The whole TEAM are very customer friendly, professional, efficient but ABOVE ALL ELSE the animals of whatever kind ALWAYS come FIRST which we think is great. Thank you all.

My first visit to Riverside vets as only just registered my (thin skinned) whippet there. Took him in with a large gash and was totally delighted with the service I received. Very friendly, highly professional and efficient. Wound healed well and inevitable scar adding to his street cred.

We have moved into the area so a change of Vet was required. Our dog needed treatment and our cat required a check for flea tick and worming. So pleased we moved to the Riverside Veterinary Centre. The Vet explained everything and put our minds at ease. Bonus , our dog and cat seemed to like him too!

Excellent Veterinary Practice the team are all brilliant exceptional care from Vet Dia.
Their care they give does not stop at your pet but extends to you as well.
We cannot thank Dia and his team for the care he gave our Bella who sadly at two year old went over the Rainbow Bridge on 6th January 2019.
We also thank you all for the care you are giving Darcy.
