Bowman lodge was a lovely lodging experience which is close to the city center, you can take a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute cab ride to get there, very spacious rooms with lovely high ceilings. Furniture ia a bit worn out and could be a little comfier and the double bed was on the smaller side, but great value for money especially with the facilities around.

Bowman Lodge was a warm, clean lodging house. There was an excellent supply of hot water and the room was serviced daily. There was a good supply of tea, coffee, milk etc. in the room. Bowman Lodge is not doing breakfast at present, which was a disappointment but the hoteis across the road fill the gap. There was no hairdryer in the room. The Lodge is within easy walking distance of the centre of town and there is ample parking on the road if the forecourt is fully taken. The owners were kind and helpful. This is an economic place to stay for those who are happy with a basic, value for money deal

Nice B&B, absolutely perfect location within minutes of the town centre - close to buses or just a few pounds in a taxi. Plenty of parking too - if not room at property then on road is fine too. We stayed in the top floor room, decent comfy bed with tea and coffee making facilities in the room - ensuite bathroom although the water pressure in the shower was pretty poor. No food available but the Hungry Horse (pub) is right across the road or there's a lovely little street a few hundred yards down the road with coffee shops and eateries. Friendly hosts.
