Barley Lodge - Holiday Cottage has rural views over Cows and sheep fields - Relaxing Short Break or a great centre for a holiday, visiting friends or family. We are perfectly location in the heart of Cheshire countryside with excellent transport links to Chester, Liverpool, Manchester and all that Cheshire has to offer.

Barley Lodge is a log cabin built to the Scandinavian design and is fitted to a high standard offering a feature wood burning stove, which gives a warm homely feel, modern fully equipped fitted kitchen, luxury bathroom with spacious walk in shower and a full size bath. 3 bedrooms - Double, Twin and a single, which will accommodate up to 5 people plus a cot available on request.

We are located just outside of Kelsall Village, if you approach through the village from the bottom the Co-op store is on your left, then continue up hill and after the next bend turn right down Church Street.
Bring your horse to Cheshire - Ride the Delamere Loop; in Delamere forest; or book the facilities at Kelsall Hill Equestrian centre. Barley Rise can provide stabling and accommodation for horse and rider. Our Stables are large with rubber matting and straw beds provided, shared use of tack room and mucking out equipment.
Barley Rise Holiday Lodge can accommodate 5 people - 3 bedrooms - double, twin and a single, includes best quality egyptian bed linen. Cot available on request. Large bathroom with fabulous walk in shower and full size bath - egyptian cotton towels provided. Woodburner to open plan living area, fully equipped kitchen - Electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, full size dishwasher, large fridge/freezer.
Paddock and small holding field maintenance - if you only have a half acre or paddock/field upto 5 acres - we can provide cost effective land management. With a micro tractor and small equipment we can get access through smaller gate ways and manuouver around paddocks. We've had some very warm and wet weather and that has made for very good growing conditions which is good and bad.

We had a very comfortable stay in a location well positioned for day trips to Liverpool, Manchester and the English and Welsh countryside.

Had a great stay at barley rise, owners were friendly and helpful, nice location, 3 nice pubs in walking distance accommodation for horses, owners and with facilities for camping caravans or horse boxes.

Due to a technical issue I inadvertently left a 1 star rating after my last visit in March 2018.
I whole heartedly give this property a 5 star rating in all areas and would recommend anyone looking for a break to consider staying at Barley Rise.
