Our skilled clinicians not only treat the injury but through correction of movement and muscle balance they can tailor an exercise programme for you to prevent further injury and improve your sporting technique.
Up to half of all women experience weakness in both the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor muscles after pregnancy and up to a third still have a tummy gap at eight weeks post-birth. This can cause instability or poor core strength leading to women developing pelvic or back pain or bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction.
Not only do we treat adults but we have a specialised children's physio service for 16 year olds and under in the Claygate clinic. This special group of patients require a different type of treatment approach to adults. Sara McGowran is an experienced specialist children's physio working at The Royal free Hospital and The Physio Company.
Using the best evidence from the latest research our aim is to provide you with a diagnosis that makes sense. We take time to explain things that concern you like what a "trapped nerve" or "slipped disc" is or why your neck "cracks". Aches and pains take time to recover. We will tell you how long a sprained ankle, muscle or ligament can take and when it is safe to use it or start exercising again.
