Lots of changes have been made to keep you safe, including health screening, enhanced cleaning and wearing PPE (personal protective equipment). For those who are more at risk or would prefer, I'll be continuing with virtual physiotherapy appointments. I look forward to welcoming back. At 'Janine Jones Physiotherapy', Janine is committed to making you feel better as fast as possible.

Services
Physiotherapy involves an initial physical assessment and diagnosis of your specific problem, followed by employing a variety of techniques to assist your return to full function. This includes empowering you to prevent reoccurrence of your problem. If your problem isn't included on this list and you want to know if it is something that could be treated with physiotherapy please do contact Janine for an informal discussion.
Whether you have lower back pain, a shoulder problem or an overuse running injury, Clinical Pilates can help you. Pilates is a unique body conditioning and postural alignment exercise technique. It was developed by Joseph Pilates over 70 years ago originally to treat performing artists. Today, Clinical Pilates has been developed by physiotherapists as a modification of the original exercise system.
Acupuncture is a treatment involving the insertion of fine needles into various parts of the body. There are two main schools of thought - traditional Chinese acupuncture, which is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Medical Acupuncture (WMA).
Western Medical Acupuncture, which Janine practises, is similar to Chinese acupuncture, but also applies our current scientific understanding of anatomy (the structure of the body), physiology (the healthy functioning of the body), and pathology (changes to the normal functioning of the body).Western Medical Acupuncture also applies the principles of evidence-based medicine.

Janine Jones can make home visits. Whilst it is desirable to be treated in the clinic, where all equipment is available to hand, for some this is impossible for reasons of reduced mobility. Janine has considerable experience of treating people in their own home - this includes residential care and nursing homes.
If we do not have a direct payment arrangement with your insurance company, we ask you to pay at each visit and then put in a claim with your insurance company.
Most private medical insurance policies will cover the cost of physiotherapy and some will cover acupuncture only treatment where it is provided by a physiotherapist who is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council, is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and, in the case of acupuncture, the British Medical Acupuncture Society or a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
