Arnaud took over the reigns of the George & Dragon in 2017, after previously setting up 'Plate' restaurant in Shoreditch. A combination of his French heritage and experience working alongside Gordon Ramsey, Richard Corrigan, Gary Rhodes & Jason Atherton- makes for superb classic dishes with a contemporary twist.

We visited the new coffee shop at The George and Dragon, called Montgomery.
Service was a bit slow, no-one serving in the coffee shop. However the coffee was delicious and the rocky road was a perfect partner - I reckon it was homemade. This is a new enterprise and needs a bit more time to grow. We know the George and Dragon well and I'm certain they will gradually get it just perfect with a little more time to develop and improve. It has one irresistible asset - a beautiful setting in the middle of this quaint little village
Well worth a visit. Go for a coffee and you may even stay for lunch
