Living with back pain, muscle strains or other musclo-skeletal problems can be difficult. Osteopathic treatment generally focuses on the musclo-skeletal system, combining knowledge of anatomy, physiology and clinical methodology. Our practice has been established for over 20 years when it was run under Alison Cameron Osteopathic Practice.

We are based in Mutley in Plymouth and cover Plymouth and the surrounding towns in Devon and Cornwall such as Yelverton, Tavistock, Saltash, Torpoint and Kingsbridge. Arthritis means " inflammation of the joints". There are many different types of arthiritis ranging from 'wear and tear' as in Osteoarthiritis to autoimmune ones (the body attacking itself) as in Rheumatoid arthritis.

City Osteopathic Practice is a well established practice and was originally run by Alison Cameron for over 20 years until it was bought by Samar in 2013. Ilias Sachpazidis took over on September of 2019 and continues to treat babies (as well as expectant mothers) and fragile chronic conditions with gentle cranial osteopathy.
The Institute of Osteopathy describes it as: Osteopathy is a therapeutic discipline and science that it used for identifying, preventing and helping with a multitude of health ailments. Its based on the precipice that the way things are positioned and/or move affect how they function and that the body has its own self-healing and regulatory mechanisms.
Discomfort, aches and pains can all surface in a multitude of different ways and severity. Osteopathic therapy aims to eleviate these conditions and provide you with better living. This is achieved through working with the body to repair and maintain using various different specialized treatments, each one tailored to a specific condition.
The shoulder can suffer from a number of ligament and muscle strains, disclocation, joint inflammation, and fractures. Tendon tears or irritation are a common cause of inflamation and muscle spasm, sometimes causing what is known as 'frozen shoulder' (adhesive capsulitis) which is an extreme loss of movement.
Stress and tension from everyday life and unfortunate injuries can cause pain in the neck, head and back area. The neck is the most mobile part of the spine and thus it often compensates for dysfunctions lower down and ends up overloaded and this leads to muscle and/or joint pain, even nerve compression in more severe cases.

Ilias is a God send!! He has a huge experience and has a great attitude towards everyone. He helped my son a lot. I cannot recommend him enough! I wouldn't go anywhere else. My son had massive restrictions in his movement, his muscles were so tense that he couldn't do anything. After only few sessions, he started rolling and crawling 😍 I won't be able to thank him enough for his hard work.
