Many may know me as a Funeral Director in the Whitefield, Prestwich and surrounding areas, some may not. Whether you have visited this website because of a loss, or out of interest, I hope it proves informative. I hope to explain our role in the carrying out of funerals and some of the things you might need to think about at such a distressing time.

Monday to Friday. If you would like to visit the funeral home at any other time, either at the weekend or in the evening, please call to arrange an appointment. Our funeral home is situated on Bury New Road (A56), the main road connecting Manchester and Bury, in the area of Whitefield. Take Junction 17 off the M60 and follow the A56 towards Bury & Whitefield.
In 1898 a group of enthusiastic funeral directors set up the British Institute of Undertakers to 'raise the status of the profession'. While this organisation ceased to exist in 1901, local associations remained active and, in 1905, the British Undertakers Association was founded. The Association adopted a new constitution in 1905, when it also changed its name to the National Association of Funeral Directors.
As a member of the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF), Paul Williams Independent Funeral Directors have signed the Funeral Pledge, a campaign by SAIF and Quaker Social Action to end funeral poverty and to make the prospective cost of a funeral less daunting by clearly offering all affordable options to customers.

Loosing Gary, our dearly loved son is the most devastating and painful personal time in our lives and we were lost in grief. The first step we had to take on the sad journey after he passed away was to find somewhere safe and loving to look after him for us before laying him to rest. Paul and Helen provided that safe, loving, peaceful place and looked after Gary for us. The kind, loving, thoughtful personal service and support they provided greatly helped us through the most difficult of times. I am so pleased I took the opportunity to chose Paul Williams & his lovely family, they were so kind & considerate towards myself & my whole family. They looked after David so professional & with so much dignity, they took myself under their wing from the day they met me, I will never forget their kindness, I would not hesitate to choose them in the future if god forbid I lost another person so close to me & I can strongly recommend that if you are ever in the same position as myself, please do not hesitate to make the same choice as I did & your loved one will have the departure from this world

I can’t recommend Paul Williams highly enough. We have used Paul’s services twice in the last two or three years and on each occasion the arrangements made by Paul, Helen and their staff have been superb. Even the smallest detail is handled with the utmost professionalism and with great care and dignity. We knew from our first experience that we could leave everything in Paul’s capable hands which was a great comfort and enabled us to concentrate on ourselves and our family.

During the call it became apparent that care, sensitivity and dignity are at the very core of how Paul and his staff conduct themselves.
For my family, these moments were charged with high emotion. Thankfully, we were comforted in the knowledge that our decision to engage Paul was straightforward as a result.
Throughout the period immediately after speaking with Helen, the service we received was impeccable and this was maintained

Having recently lost our Dad suddenly Paul, Helen & their staff made a very difficult time that much easier to cope with.
They are professional, respectful, patient, caring and attentive. No detail was too small and Paul & Helen were able to offer guidance when we needed it at any time.
They understood our Dad's and the family's wishes and helped us give him the send off he deserved. They planned everything on our behalf.
Then there are the little personal touches such as sending flowers to the family, calling to see if we were coping ok, even down to an elegant invoice with a butterfly to plant
