Hello my name is Simon Cook and I have a passion for Tribal rugs and weavings, I have been collecting and dealing in Central Asian textiles, antique rugs, oriental rugs and Persian rugs for the last 21 years taking great pleasure in selecting interesting and unusual pieces for my rug gallery in Kingussie, a small town in the Central Highlands of Scotland.
Persian rugs is a broad description for all rugs and carpets of all ages and sizes that are made in Iran. These can be large fine city rugs to very small tribal nomadic rugs. We offer a rug search for any particular type of city Persian rug or carpet that is not in our inventory but always have a few antique pieces in stock.
Antique comes from the Latin "antiquus" meaning old or ancient and describes art objects that are usually collectible. For the purpose of items in this section, the word antique has been applied to rugs that are at least seventy years old and older. We are one of the main suppliers of ukantiquerugs.
