JBT Distribution
We are delighted to announce the acquisition of JBT Distribution by Menzies Distribution, enhancing our service offering both locally and nationally and bringing a new combined business scale of 4,200 vehicle assets, 100+ depot locations and almost 5,000 people. Our warehousing capacity across our depots in Scotland provide us with unrivalled stock management.

JBT Distribution Limited is the leading road haulage operator distributing across Scotland from it's strategically located depots which enable us to be close to our customer and end user. Established in 1993, we have developed a long and illustrious history as a professional road haulier in Scotland, providing a true "GATEWAY to SCOTLAND" for our customers.
Services
Despite operating in some extremely remote locations, geography holds no bounds for JBT. We are a principle logistics company providing haulage to and from the Orkney and Shetland Islands, and throughout the UK either on own fleet or via the Palletforce network, of which we are a shareholder member.
JBT offers a comprehensive transport solution that ensures our customers needs are met whether it be a single parcel delivery up to and including full load consignments. We pride ourselves in understanding the needs of our clients and tailoring a logistics solution that meets their expectations and delivers a high quality service throughout the supply chain.
JBT Distribution is currently inviting enquiries from HGV and non-HGV drivers to join our team of over 200 drivers across Scotland. The JBT team boasts 320 people in 6 locations and we are looking to expand our support team for excellent and flexible drivers to join us. We respond in person to every enquiry placed and will be back in touch within a day or so following your submission.
As with most logistics providers, planning business routes is as equally important as road routes. Our strategy concentrates on the Scottish haulage industry - a sector where we have put millions of miles under our belt. Our depot in Bathgate offers a flexible solution to our partners who can deliver freight for onward shipment throughout Scotland and in turn collect return loads back into England.
JBT has approximately 250,000 sq ft of warehousing across the six sites, the majority of this capacity is located between the East Kilbride and Bathgate sites. JBT now holds a BRC certificate for the the Bathgate site as well as Soil Association accreditation identifying it as one of the leading warehouse facilities in Central Scotland.

Driver stopped at edge of drive, dumped my boxes in a large puddle and drove off. No attempt to knock on the door, no attempt to put them to the house or even the garden shed. Just dumped and departed. Items left in rain for hours. Items ruined. JBT Shetland you’re rubbish.

Very unprofessional . Couldn’t be bothered to get my freezers to me on the date scheduled. Gave various lies as to why. Manager said they would deal with it and then just disappeared. My raw meat order ( which the company could only deliver that day in a two week window) had partially thawed. When I get goods delivered again I will ensure they don’t use this company Very stressful and unnecessary.

I was driving s/b on the A90 at 1.25am just south of forfar. I was following one of your trucks and as we entered the roadworks your driver started hitting the cones in the contraflow causing the n/b traffic to have to swerve. Your driver of vehicle wx14 *** was either drunk, tired or was doing it on purpose

Appalling service. Delivered on the wrong day. The driver had a terrible attitude and refused to take the 75 kilo loft ladder further than the pavement. He then watched my wife and 75 year old neighbour struggle with this heavy package the 20 meters into our property.

Disappointing that your driver thought blocking the only entry/exit to my street yesterday was a good idea while delivering multiple boxes to a nearby business. The Openreach vans to the left were already… parked up (irresponsibly and a message will be sent to them also) so your driver should not have stopped in that spot. This caused me a significant delay but what worries me most is that they had blocked access for emergency vehicles. The entry/exit to the street can often be a bottleneck and can leave vehicles queuing on the main road, this action by your driver could have caused a significant

My partners car got hit by a lorry that knocked it right out of the space apparently no one seen it and when we asked if any one seen it they asked what space he was parked in and then told him that this has happened more than once before! Maybe you should try telling your employees this or get the space removed 577 we had to pay and 6 years no claims ruined

No spare room means parking on the back fence and walking to the office & back. No fun if it's raining. A good quick turnaround but, if it's the same staff, don't expect any conversation. Unless, it's cos I is ENGLISH?
