Beautiful hotel, very accommodating and staff always happy to help. Food was lovely, small portions but very well presented. Lovely grounds and stunning views from our room. Room was very cold at times due to age of building but staff bought up a heater 30seconds after we requested one. Slightly more expensive but well worth it

Disappointed with the room they gave us (standard) It had a horrible musty smell as you walked in. Very dated decor ie wallpaper peeling off in certain areas and stained too. Mirrors and skirting boards where dusty and the toliet rim was black and constant dripping of cistern kept us awake. Silicone around the bath was mouldy. The mattress was very hard and my husband didn't get a good night sleep. Overall disappointed didn't expect a luxurious room but could of been 100 times better. The hotel management should make sure that the cleaning team do their job properly. The evening meal was lovely

Beautiful grounds, parking for over 100 cars (some hidden spaces round back). Character building, ideal for weddings (whole venue can be hired). Beautiful bridal suite. Can attend the restaurant for meals/afternoon tea, and/or drinks and of course can stay in the hotel. Can also be used for classes such as children's cookery.
