Lovely little campsite. We have stayed here numerous times since lockdown was lifted. Where do I start. First and foremost the pub. This is one of the main reasons that we keep returning. Paul and Diane are excellent hosts along with Andrea. The food cooked by Wendy is delicious, you have to try the sticky toffee pudding itβs to die for. We have always been made to feel welcome even on our very first stay when we rocked up at 2200 hrs. Paul very kindly went and made our group some nibbles. The wild camping is great, well set out. All in all itβs a brilliant site with easy reach to Chester and

Turned up for a drink with a friend just before 10 on a Wednesday after paddling on the Dee. All lights off. Chap came out of the campsite. Asked us what we wanted. Bit rude. All he had to say was they were shut. We didn't even get out the car. Won't bother trying there again. Went to the Letters Inn down the road. Couldn't have been nicer.

What a lovely place to have a late Sunday meal. The staff were so welcoming and we had amazing service from Andrea who was exceptionally funny and attentive.
The food was amazing - could not find anything bad to say about our Fish chips and mushy peas with tartre sauce- as we say in Wales Lush !! Un be known to us they also had a camping/caravan/
Motor home park which we would definitely have stayed if we had known -close to the bus stop In to Chester as well .
Will definitely stay here next time.
Good luck to you all in the coming months out if Covid- oh another wonderful thing is that they
