We're an independent coffee house situated in Newport centre, opposite TK Maxx. We occupy a historic building on Pyle Street that has a long history, including once being a public house in the early 1900's, called the Star & Garter. We're a fully independent Coffee House, there's only one, so we strive to do our best in everything we do from our coffee and food, to our ethics and interior design, and offer you what the coffee chains can't.

We've built a loyal following who love our strong, dark espresso blend and the way our expert baristas make our premium quality drinks. Food and entertainment was excellent so were staff very friendly but rooms were outdated shower over the bath and when you are nearly 80 not easy haven't stayed in a hotel without wet rooms or walk in shower for a long time and until they update it won't stay there again which is a shame

Love love Love Cofffee, been going for years and always have a vegan option, you can have vegan shakes with different options, biscoff etc, and they do a lush vegan hot chocolate!

We came here after many years of not visiting and I believe it's now under new ownership. Wow, a really good atmosphere and experience. Staff are friendly and attentive and the food we had, two panini, was cooked fresh and tasted great. Nice subtle coffee and lots more drinks to try on our next visit. We will definitely be back soon!

Stopped here to relax with a coffee and cake and listen to some sounds.
Chose the americano and caramel slices , the staff were really friendly and helpful. We sat upstairs which is a very spacious area ,our coffee was excellent the caramel slices were disappointing but overall the place has a relaxed and calm ambience .
