I would give Neil @ links driving school a whole lot more stars where it possible. Back in 2016 I contacted dozens of driving schools as wanted to ensure that my then nearly 17 year old son would have the best possible start to motoring. Neil stood out from the crowd with his non 'salesy' approach where by success rate was not based on "quick pass records" but safety, which was a MUST on our selection criteria.
Neil was also the highest qualified instructor out of all the local driving instructors, this being an added bonus. My older son passed his theory and driving tests (fairly quickly) first time with only 3 minor faults in 2017, younger one getting the same result (took a bit longer as not quite as confident as his big bro) few months ago.

Did the trailer training because I had to for work, and without the training I dont think i could have done it. Definitely recommend it to anyone whose going to do the test.
It is necessary to have passed both components of the theory test before sitting this exam. Passing the practical test then entitles one to hold a full UK driving licence. The practical driving test can be taken in either a manual car or an automatic car; if taken and passed in an automatic, the full licence granted thereafter will be an automatic licence only.
You need to pass both in one sitting in order to be successful on the day. Once you have passed the Theory Test you can then apply to take your practical driving test. The Multiple choice part of the test is carried out using a touch screen computer terminal and the Hazard Perception part records your responses through the use of a computer mouse button.
Links Driving School working in partnership with GT Towing now provide B+E car and trailer tuition. Clients must provide their own vehicle and trailer, or can hire a trailer from GT Towing. There is now, within the driver training industry, a real concern around issues of road safety, and is seen as a backward step, which will lead to an increase in collisions on our roads.

Would highly recommend Neil (Links driving school) to anyone who is looking for driving lessons. I went into driving lessons very nervous but after having Neil as my driving instructor, today I passed with only two minors and total confidence in my driving. He is very patient and understanding as well as making sure you are not only test ready but ready for driving after your test. If you are looking for a driving instructor Neil is definitely the person to choose!

I would definitely recommend Neil to anyone who wants to be taught to drive safely, not just to pass their test . During the extended waiting times for a test, due to covid, Neil did not give my daughter unnecessary lessons. He used the time to cover things such as motorway driving. Once she had secured a cancellation appointment, Neil rearranged his workload to make sure he was able to give her lessons in the days immediately prior to her test. Due to a clash of tests, he couldn’t be there for the actual test but it was lovely to see that he was keen to see how she had got on and was just as

Neil is such a brilliant driving instructor and always made me feel comfortable during lessons. Even when it took me a while to get to grips with driving, he was patient and understanding and thanks to him I passed my test first time! I feel properly equipped to go out and continue driving from now on thanks to the confidence that Neil has given me while driving.

The trailer familiarisation course was invaluable. Neil was very patient and clear and we now look forward to taking out our horsebox rather than being nervous! Neil has also provided helpful advice to improve my driving generally which is already making me feel safer even with over 25 years' driving experience. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Neil is fantastic, really helps to iron out problems with thorough and direct instruction.
Had a half day B+E course with him and it allowed me to pass my test first time.
Super professional and an easy guy to get on with.
Will most deffinetly use again and will certainly pass on his info if I know anybody in need of any driver training.
