Services
Learning to drive is a momentous part of anyone's life, so making sure you get the right driving lessons is very important. You'll finish each lesson with Duke and Duchess Driving School in Bedford feeling like you've learnt loads without emptying your bank account. Our driving instructors are all licensed by the DVSA and use the latest training methods so you'll feel safe, comfortable and ready to hit the road!
Our ethos at Duke & Duchess Driving School Bedford is to deliver driving lessons that will enable you to be a safe driver for life. We use only the latest teaching methods to help you learn quickly, all whilst preparing you for the challenges of being an independent driver. We believe in quality tuition and providing value for money in all of our lessons, and to help you achieve your goals in a way that suits you.
Duke and Duchess Driving School instructors recommend our learners take weekly driving lessons. The most common driving lessons courses consist of One Hour or One Hour and a Half per week. Driving lessons can be booked once or twice per week, allowing you to spread your driving course over a timescale convenient to you.
We give all of our learners access to Theory test pro, this provides you with all of the study material you will require in order to pass the theory test. Your instructor will arrange to get you set up onto Theory test pro at the end of your first driving lesson. Theory Test pro is free to all learners who choose to learn to drive with Duke & Duchess driving school.
Candidates will be asked 1 of a possible 14 'Tell Me' questions. This question will be asked at the start of the test before driving. It should be noted that for questions 10 and 11 the candidate will have to actually operate switches and not just explain. 2. Tell me where you'd find the information for the recommended tyre pressures for this car and how tyre pressures should be checked.

I simply don’t have words to describe and pay gratitude to my amazing instructor Steve. He is professional, patient and ensures to fine tune your areas of weakness. I was so nervous when approaching roundabouts, after my second lesson I already felt more confident!
I have been lucky to have him as my instructor and thankful to him for transforming me into a confident driver on the road. Paula was my instructor and I thought she was great - she gave me some really useful techniques to help me pass and was always very accommodating if I wanted to fit in any last minute lessons (!) I found the prices very reasonable and would definitely recommend

I contacted Sarah after trying to learn in a manual for a while and struggling miserably. She completely changed my outlook on driving and was so reassuring and professional she took away any anxieties I had. Honestly one of the best instructors out there thank you so much for everything.

Harry is a very patient and understanding instructor who adapts to the the drivers requirements. I found him approachable and he was always able to fit in lessons when I needed them. His friendly demeanour, coupled with his words of encouragement allowed me to gain confidence and pass with flying colours. Thank you Paula for helping my 17 year old son pass his test first time! Your patience, friendliness and calm approach to instructing him helped him iron out some bad habits he had picked up from us, while learning to drive during lockdown, giving him the self confidence and belief that he could do it. Duke and Duchess was amazing my driving instructor Sarah was great she was very helpful and attentive at all times. She with l made things a lot easier and she made me feel very comfortable in the whole process which gave me a lot of confidence and gave me the opportunity to pass first time.
