As a highly experienced psychotherapist I can help you develop new, healthier perspectives on your thoughts and how these influence your behaviour and life.

I am a qualified Counsellor and Integrative Psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience in long-term psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) orientated counselling. After completing my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, I went on to study for a Diploma in Counselling at the Central School of Counselling & Training.
A - Your first session will be an opportunity to discuss the issues that have led you to seek help. It gives us a chance to explore what else may going on in your life that may be contributing to your current malaise. We will also talk about what you hope to gain from counselling and psychotherapy and any goals you may have going forward.

I understand that every person is different and is dealing with their unique concerns, which is why every treatment is carefully tailored to provide personalised help to individuals in need of assistance.
When we perceive that we're under threat, anxiety is our natural human response that can be experienced through our thoughts, feelings and physical sensations. We tend to experience feelings of anxiety when we're tense, worried or afraid about things we know, or think, could happen. Common during times of stress, most people will feel anxious at times.
Depression can be caused by an identifiable triggering factor such as bereavement or an accumulation of complex issues that slowly sneak up on you. Sometimes there is no clear understanding of why the depression is there. The symptoms of depression vary from one individual to another but will impact us at all levels of our lives, including socially, emotionally, psychologically and physically.

I saw Naelah over a number of years. On a practical level she is incredible reliable and professional. Equally as a therapist her patient, calm and non judgmental approach is faultless. Her experience and knowledge shines throughout the process. She really did help me become at peace with myself.

I had sessions with Naelah for almost 10 months, and in that time, with her assistance, I overcame the obstacles that had been mentally plaguing me for years, from anxiety to panic attacks, depression and guilt.
Naelah also helped me conjure ways to come to terms with these conditions and combat them on my own - a prognosis which was my main priority.
