The restaurant serves a wide range of Irish cuisine with an emphasis on local produce, served in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. We cater for special dietary requirements just enlighten your server and they will be happy to liaise with the kitchen.
We can provide separate dining areas to cater for a range of functions so please contact us to enable us to create the perfect solution for your needs. It caters for up to 100 people and our resident DJ is always on hand to provide the entertainment. Perfect for that small gathering whether it be a family get together or a business meeting, that can cater up to 12 people.

Initially a small group of darts enthusiasts, who socialise in the hotel, expressed an interest in starting a team to play in the local league. This interest soon blossomed and a team was entered to compete in the Banbridge & District Dart League 2011/12 season.
Indeed the Downshire Arms has become somewhat of a local hub for the sport, as we have hosted the league's highly coveted finals night, as well as competitions for important charities, such as NSPCC.Most recently, we had the honour of welcoming two legends of the game to our premises for a night of great darts and craic, with all proceeds going to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

We were established in 1992 with a view to bringing our customers, who are from many different golf clubs, together, to play new courses and make new golfing friends! Playing the best and new courses all over Ireland with trips to the home of golf, Scotland and for some sun to Portugal and Spain! After a great days golf we finish with a meal & prize giving.
