Our care home benefits from close Director supervision who are on site and on hand regularly, we understand this is the only way to ensure quality in a residential setting.

Services
We occupy a quiet rural position in a conservation area just outside Christchurch, with good views over private gardens and open countryside towards the New Forest. Our grounds are well stocked with shrubs and trees for colour and interest throughout the year and provide a 'home' for many birds and wildlife.
Our service is directly supervised by the directors, Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy. They have owned and run Avon lee Lodge since 2005 and have worked to constantly adapt, improve, and refine both the building, staff and service to meet the changing demands of the care sector. Before acquiring Avon Lee Lodge in 2005 my wife and I started our journey as care providers in 2001 in our own five bedded care home in London.
Avon Lee Lodge benefits from 23 Residential Beds with HD Televisions and internet access, some rooms have private garden access, modern fixtures and fittings throughout, most rooms exceed the national minimum standard for room size. The building itself has all the charm of a Victorian vicarage but a tasteful extension in 2009 allowed us to address the issues of a Victorian building as a care home.
For those wishing to stay only for a short time, perhaps to aid recuperation after a hospital stay, we do offer respite services subject to availability. We can also assist with physio therapy exercises and with the assistance of community teams help with re enablement. Our close care units are fully equipped to help our clients gain the confidence to return home.
Modern in style and with views of both our gardens and neighbouring paddocks. Not only do our assisted living pods have strong visual appeal but more practically they enhance the level of care provision that our service can offer - following our long standing ethos of care; to maximise independence.

Mum was taken to Avon Lee Lodge at very short notice for respite care, and remained there for over three months. She couldn't talk highly enough of the staff, who were all so kind and professional despite the very difficult circumstances of 2021. Their concern for her was touching, and friendships seem to have been made. The fifth star is withheld only because of some structural issues - some missing handrails, and some poorly functioning amenities. Aside from that, we are very happy to have ended up at Avon Lee Lodge.

I have worked at Avon Lee Lodge and have found the staff, administrators, manager and owners very dedicated, friendly and supportive. I have really enjoyed my time meeting & caring for the residents who always seem to have a smile for you. I’m sad to be leaving as it is a fantastic place of work but I need to relocate for family commitments.

My aunt was wonderfully happy here for 7 years of her life and when she was 100 and needed extra care the staff were amazing and so dedicated.
I would highly recommend as the Home is a small independent Care facility and everyone is treated as one of the family. There are lots of activities on offer or one can stay and eat all your meals etc in your room as my Aunt did!! The Home is modern and the rooms are all different but mostly spacious and the new outside pods are a great idea for those who wish to have just a little bit more independence with a lounge and separate bedroom whilst being able

My mother moved into Avon Lee Lodge for 5 years in 2015 when she was 92, and the care she received was excellent. The home is family owned and they managed the corona outbreak extremely well. They were the first home to allow vital family visits, but still adhering strictly to the guidance at all times.They avoided any cases getting into the home. The cook prepares real home made food, offering a choice of meals. Meanwhile the care manager and her staff all do a great job too, so I can fully recommend this home.Captain Alan Perry ( PS I am not a relative!)

I am the care coordinator for Ethos care services and have found Avon Lee Lodge to be very supportive over the years. When some of our clients need additional care or support or even respite services and are unable to reside in their own home. Avon Lee has always been there and in some cases have managed to cover emergency respite care in less than 24 hours notice. Avon Lee Lodge also offer additional services to our clients such as day services for socialisation and activities. I also find the atmosphere in the care home to be friendly, caring and loving.

Manager Incompetent ,some staff very lazy , unprofessional and troublemakers.Owners pay just the minimun wage ,and just have a cleaner 3 hours a day .As a result all place has cowebs,curtains dirty on the bottom ,etc.They have around 9 agencies and always struggle to find someone to work ,because nobody likes the place,so some of the permanent staff have to work many extra hours to keep the business running,and many left because they can't cope with so much stress.The owner said manager have never meet me, but I had a friend working there who was abused for him for no reasons, and several colleagues

I've been working for Avon lee lodge for 7 years now. I have completed my NVQ 2 and 3 with them and currently working towards my level 5. They have a good support system for the staff and are a pleasure to work for. All the staff are caring and well trained. It's somewhere that I would feel happy for my grandparent to stay if it was needed.

Avon Lee Lodge has been caring for an elderly relative of mine for some time and so impressed am I with the level of service and professionalism I thought it best to actually convey it in a review on Google as opposed to emailing the Home direct. Nothing is too much trouble either when calling to query something of speaking face to face to a member of staff. The establishment itself is exceptionally well run, organised, clean and efficient. I sat long and hard to try and think of something even slightly negative to say but no there is not a thing I could criticise. All staff whether it be at management

Been with the company 6 years. Excellent company to work for with great management. I have been given lots of opportunities to develop and learn. I am currently doing my Level 5. We benefit from our high staff to resident ratio with our caring, companionate carers. I would happily recommend Avon Lee Lodge to anyone!

The owners are friendly, supportive to their employees, rewarding their staff for work and support they give to residents. Employees feel appreciated and respected.
