Delightfully situated in the heart of West Sussex, at the foot the South Downs, our Residential & Nursing Care Home is a picturesque 17th century manor house with a purpose built nursing wing, offering a relaxing, warm and healthy atmosphere for our residents.

We have not had a moment of worry about our mother since she has been there and she has received the best possible care. At Valerie Manor we understand how difficult it can be making the move to a care home. Our specially trained manager and staff are here to offer the care, support and security that you need and deserve, ensuring you or a loved one are not alone when you need help. Valerie Manor Nursing and Residential Care Home is a small family run home where we are committed to providing professional and considerate care in our homely environment.
The manor has had some distinguished guests in its history. Churchill is reputed to have dined here and one of the earliest visitors is said to have been King Charles II. On that memorable day he (King Charles) and his faithful escort rode from the Hampshire border to Brighthelmstone (Brighton) a distance of over 60 miles with exciting adventures.
Valerie Manor's owner and manager, Zo Fry, is a qualified nurse with extensive experience in the health industry both as a nurse and as a manager in providing care and managing large numbers of staff. Her knowledge of the nursing home industry has grown over recent years through personal experience.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates all health and adult social care services in England, including those provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies or voluntary organisations. Valerie Manor (Home Care Home Ltd) is registered with the CQC allowing us to provide accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care up to a maximum of 23 service users.
Valerie Manor provides accommodation and facilities for up to twenty-three residents. Our accommodation extends throughout our beautiful 17th Century home and purpose built Nursing Wing, allowing us to offer state of the art facilities in a traditional setting but with a modern influence. Built in the late 1600's, Valerie Manor has had several lives, including at one time being used as a Gentleman's Club.
