The New Grange is a privately owned Dementia Care Home, in Worthing, West Sussex, adjacent to Worthing Hospital. It is ideally situated, with the seafront, town centre, coach and bus terminal and Worthing main line railway station, all less than a mile away. The New Grange specialises in dementia care and is registered for 45 residents in ensuite rooms over two floors.
There are handrails and wheelchair access as well as a lift to the first floor. We have assisted bathing facilities, and all our lounges have televisions and facilities for listening to music or quiet reading. Many of our well-appointed rooms are ensuite and we are pleased to accept personal belongings to create a "home from home" environment.

The New Grange Care Home values training and is always striving to improve the training programme, on-going, designed to meet the needs of individuals. The training records of the home can be viewed, at any time, on demand.
Training is paramount in the care home and all staff attend mandatory training that is relevant to the residents and the care sector, that includes Fire Awareness, Manual Handling, Infection Control, Dementia Awareness and Respect, Dignity and Diversity.We always have appropriate numbers of trained carers to address our residents' needs and staffing is constantly reviewed to respond to the changes.

All meals are prepared and cooked on site in our kitchen. Due to the nature of our residents a mainly soft diet is provided and account taken of special diets, low fat, diabetic, low sodium, gluten free, vegetarian and if aware of a diagnosis, diverticular disease. There is a cooked breakfast provided until 9:30 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday as well as fruit juices, hot drinks, cereals porridge and toast.
Our activities co-ordinator works five days a week providing meaningful activities for our Residents within and outside the home. Outside entertainers also visit the New Grange to provide activities ranging from trips out on our own minbus, exercises, music and art classes. The home has its own hair dressing salon and a hair dresser who is available three times a week for appointments.
Worthing is easily accessible by road, the A24 to the north from London and the A259 costal road and and A27 main road from Chichester to the west and Brighton and Eastbourne to the east. There are regular mainline railway services into Worthing Central station which is less than 15 minutes walk away, and there is a taxi rank at the station.
