The family owned restaurant is lead by Olivier Troalen, the head chef, with his wife Adele, ably supported by an experienced team with a strong French influence in both the kitchen and the front of house. After training at a catering school in Paris, Olivier worked at the French Embassy in London in the 1990s, where he waited on Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, Baroness Margaret Thatcher and Diana, Princess of Wales.
When Olivier relocated to Manchester he met his wife Adele. The pair bought La Boheme in 2000, where they have been serving great food ever since. Olivier frequently leads La Boheme's famed cookery demonstrations for customers and has a passion for inspiring people to learn how to adapt French food to fit British tastes.

I've been going to La Boheme for over 10 years and it's still as elegant as the first time I went about 14 years ago. The food is perfect and the staff are attentive. Its somewhere I'd recommend for a family or couples meal. They still have some of the same items on the menu from when I first went with some new additions. Its probably one of the the best restaurants I've ever been to. A real French classic that I would recommend in a heartbeat!

Enjoyable experience. Lovely decor. Staff excellent and food good quality. Canapés a nice touch. However we ordered 2 fillet Cantona and both were over cooked and dry. Disappointing - this is the signature dish and should be pink and juicy. Everything else was great but not sure i would go back which is shame but paying £200 for 4 people it should be perfect.

I know looking through all the other highly rated reviews this seems like someone trying to be different. I get it - we didn’t though. We just didn’t like it. The food was OK, it was very old fashioned, tasted - OK, but was not in anyway worth 4 or 5 stars. Ranging from big portions to decorative side dishes from days gone. Shots of cold pea soup where presented in between courses by waiter as though he’d invented fossil free fuel, and we found ourselves going along with the surprise by giving out an ‘ooooh’ every time a dish was presented as to not cause offence as the staff where so

5 stars definitely deserved both for the great staff and the finest quality of their dishes. We had a great experience of personalised bespoke service in a fantastic environment.
It worth every penny spent.
I would recommend this restaurant definitely especially for people that appreciate details and time and effort spent to provide holistic experience.

Had lunch today at this exquisite restaurant. Tried to find higher end restaurants near me and I'm glad we plumped for this place. After ordering, we were presented with a selection of (what seemed to me) homemade breads. I chose the mini baguette and my wife chose a poppyseed bun. Both nice and warm, and delicious. I had the fishcake and fillet steak, and my wife had the scallops and duck. For desserts, I chose sticky toffee pudding and my wife had the creme brulee. I'm not kidding, everything was amazing and if they redecorated the decor to the standard of a 5 star hotel, they'd easily win a

We went here for our anniversary dinner on a miserable rainy day. Our mood was quickly uplifted with a warm welcome by the staff. The restaurant is cosy and staff makes you feel at home straightaway. We ordered the vegetarian menu of 2 courses. Loved the taste of each course and the attention to detail of the staff when there was fork missing on my table to us waiting for a dessert order, it was very well noticed. Felt as if they had the korean art of ‘Nunchi’😊 The dishes were reasonably priced too which was an added bonus. Would definitely visit again.

Unbelievable food at very fair prices. All the staff are always lovely, friendly and really do all they can to make you feel welcome. I've lost count how many times we've been but Jessica and Adele have always made our visit special, each and every time.
I can't recommend this place enough. It is easily the best restaurant in Cheshire, bar none. If you haven't been you are missing out.

Absolutely love this place, it's the sort of restaurant you can spend the whole evening and not feel rushed and enjoy good food, drinks and service.
The menu is authentic and great flavours, the presentation is great too, and unlike many restaurants these days, there is no scrimping on portion sizes.
The early bird menu is great value, and deffo worth the trip out of town, for the same level and service and quality of food you'd pay double in the city centre.

Divine. Sublime. Delicious. I could conjure up a couple of hundred adjectives to describe this French restaurant but none would do it justice. Mention French cuisine, and images of a piece of mangetout in a dot of "jus" on a plate spring to mind. This is SO not the case at La Boheme, but before I go into details about the food, let me describe the whole experience.
This restaurant is owned by Olivier and Adele Troalen who have created an absolute treasure. Firstly and most importantly, you HAVE to book here. No matter what night of the week or what time you go, I will say it again;

Sometimes simplicity can be a much-needed commodity and while La Boheme serves some impressive looking dishes they sometimes taste like too much has been put into the mix. This is only a minor blemish however, as you can't complain when both the service and the environment are so well maintained. This family-owned business obviously knows how to uphold high standards. If you want to avoid typical clichés like Frogs legs and snails then the term French cuisine can be a tricky one to define. For a well-executed example I'd suggest visiting La Boheme, as it's unlikely you'd be

Gorgeous French restaurant tucked just on the inside of Lymm. Stunning food and an upmarket/slightly romantic atmosphere. It's one of the best restaurants in the area for sure and amazingly good value. Friendly waiters who know what they're talking about and a great wine list. Couldn't recommend it more.
