Services
Since our founding in the 17th century, we've come a long way. We've helped thousands of bereaved families, and even some royalty. Now, our expertise and passion extends to more than 30 funeral homes across the Home Counties and the south of England. It's the late 17th century and the Field family enters the funeral profession for the first time, as they begin to build coffins for use in funeral ceremonies.

It is set within a large and well-maintained garden on a busy high street. Within the garden, we have a community vegetable patch which residents from local care homes helped to seed and plant and enjoy the fruits of their labour when harvested. Principal Funeral Director, Jack Stanisstreet serves this funeral home along with Funeral Directors Mark Willmott and Jackie Buckingham.
Battle Festival of arts & music For the second year running we are proud to be sponsoring the Battle Festival of arts & music; a cultural gem featuring. A local family, supported by leading West Sussex funeral directors Ballard and Shortall and East Sussex funeral directors Haine & Son, has raised 4,696 for St Wilfrid's Hospice.

Paul at Haines looked after us and guided us through the process which could have been very stressful. We were treated with kindness throughout and my mums funeral was made easier with Paul’s help. Beautiful wicker casket (the picnic basket as we called it) was less harsh and sent mum on her way in style.

We can’t thank Ben and his team here at the Aylesbury branch, coupled with the help of Jeremy who went above and beyond in helping to lay our Grandad to rest. So professionally run. Having a funeral plan in place since 2014 our plan was carried out and actioned to our personal requirements. We would recommend 100% for their professionalism and out standing caring service. Your personal touches and collecting our dear grandad from the carehome so soon after his passing, knowing you took him in to your care we are forever grateful.

Nikki from Haines and co in battle has been absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. The support my family have received has been so much more than I could of asked for and the time Nikki has taken with the children as well has made them understand and take the situation so much better. a big thank you Nikki Also Jodie our funeral director has been amazing, lovely, kind and supportive thank you both x
