Hendon Bagel Bakery
Founded in 1983, Hendon Bagel Bakery is a fixture of the London quality kosher scene. Situated in the heart of bustling Hendon, the bakery serves the local community and beyond, and many of our loyal customers come from far and wide for their favourite baked goods. Walk through the doors of the bakery to encounter a cornucopia of fresh crusty delectables.

Your only problem may be in deciding what to choose to eat! There is ample seating inside the bakery for you to enjoy your meal in peace and quiet, and when the sun is out you may of course prefer to sit outside at the tables provided, enjoy your coffee and croissant, and pass the time people-watching.
Services
Our customers are always impressed with the freshness of such a wide selection of breads baked here at Hendon Bagel Bakery. It is evident to all that the chefs and staff continue to take care in producing only the best hand made original baked products. With such a dreamy variety on display every day, and great feedback from customers, we are likely to sell out and need to replenish the shelves throughout the course of the business day.
With a careful kneading process, the freshly made dough is baked on-site in our specialised ovens. What may seem like routine for others, is a wonderful example of our unique and dedicated team being good at what they do. All bagels are handmade since we believe that the human touch makes for better tasting products.
Tradition is an important word in Kosher baking. Hendon Bagel Bakery is proud to have been following the traditional practices in baking Challahs since its establishment in 1983. Warm, soft and succulent challahs are available throughout the week and most especially on Fridays or other eves of Yom Tov.
The soft and succulent rolls at Hendon Bagel Bakery are made to measure. Baking never ceases as the baskets get refilled throughout the day. We produce the standard rolls that you are used to, however we are also able to offer some delightful specialised rolls such as the Ciabatta rolls with its unique baking methods.
Our danishes are a refreshing break from those that get churned out in an industrial fashion. Our chefs and bakers take great care in wrapping and filling all individually so that they are left with the personal touch. The selection on offer provides enough opportunity to have something different every day!.

I have only tried their chocolate and almond rugelach. I think they are really good. It's the best I have had but bear in mind I haven't been anywhere else!

Very good challah and bagels! Sometimes it is very crowded, but the staff is always friendly and takes care of you. The „to-go“ selection is amazing as well, 4 different kinds of bagels, hummus, salads, sandwiches etc. And the best part is that sometimes they give u a bagel or two for free at the end of the day if u order a large portion of them ;)! Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to get another bagel there.

Being from south london, I was last here about 10 years ago and boy has it gone downhill. Firstly, virtually nothing has a price on it and when you buy some bagels for 3 x the price of a superior brick lane one then you realise why ... it's very expensive for a 2nd rate bakery. Service is of the surly east european variety, not very nice. And the shop is messy, dirty and disorganised.

Bagels and other products are fresh and good. However, prices are nowhere to be found and no list of alergens on any of the procducts. Also lady at the till was more than unhelpful and obvoisly p**** off for being forced to work on Sunday. Just avoid. If you want bagels and you want to know what you are paying for go to Brick Lane. They are rude as well but at least they display prices and do everything efficently.

The items I bought did taste good however the shop itself was a bit of a mess, items with no labels on what each item is or what it contains as well as no information on the price. How is someone meant to shop with no information on things like that? The shop was always busy so staff were always occupied and it was difficult to find all this information out. The management seems pretty unprofessional as well though as there was lots of arguing and shouting behind the counter amongst them. As a result, many of the staff also seemed tense by this which impacted the service they were giving.

Utterly rude older Lady at the counter, asked her a couple of questions and she failed to get the look of disgust off her face to utter a breath to me 😳. Completely uninterested in serving customers even though they are the people who fill the tills WHICH ENABLE ALL THE STAFF OF ANY BUSINESS from the cleaner to the owner to be paid. 🤨 Eventually after 2 minutes of death-staring each other, the helpful Baker from the back got another Indian, Younger Lady to make the sandwich.
Unfortunately, they couldn't make a simple sandwich order as didn't know the difference between Avocado and Cucumber

We visit the bakery today to get a quick luch.
Place look nice and all the products they sell are good quality. But absolutely shocked by very rude staff , none of the products have prices absolutely nothing. At the end you get a surprise bill. I will never visit again please avoid it's a plenty of good bakery around that will value the costumes and not trying to sell you products on rocket prices.

I strongly recommend this local bakery if you are looking for freshly baked breads. I found the warm bread one morning and it was just lovely. Only one thing missing this shop, in my opinion, would be a bit of staff's smiling. The combination of current 5 star breads and future improved customer service would receive a five star from me. However I will go back this shop again.
