Services
Ducklings Pre-School started out as Creaton Playgroup in 1971. Over forty years later we are a thriving village Pre-School providing high quality childcare and education to children in and around Creaton village. At Ducklings we provide a wide range of fresh and engaging activities for the children to experience, all designed to inspire and drive children's learning through play, and develop their curiosity.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards that all childcare providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop and are kept healthy and safe. It covers the first stage of a child's care, learning and development, from birth to 5 years old.
At Ducklings Pre-School we provide a wide range of fresh and engaging activities for the children to experience; designed to inspire and drive children's learning through play and develop their curiosity.There are seven areas of learning and development which shape children's play and experiences. Through our child-led approach to planning, we use the seven areas of learning to tailor learning experiences to children's individual interests.

Funding can be a minefield of confusion! Our Administrator can help you to make sense of your entitlements and how to apply for them. Use our flow chart below to determine what funding you may be entitled to and when. An excellent pre-school! My daughter used to cry daily at her previous setting, but once she started at Ducklings she was so excited every day to go in. I love their approach to learning through play, especially their encouragement of the children to assess their own risks by using real tools, etc. They pay real attention to my child's needs, giving the right level of support to help her thrive. Fantastic staff!

We have been so impressed with Ducklings. Our daughter started at 2 years old and had the most amazing two years there. She was cared for so wonderfully and the workers were so kind. The setting is fantastic and outdoor space is great. Her transition to school has been fantastic and Ducklings has had an amazing impact on her education and more importantly on helping her to grow into a wonderful little girl. A HUGE THANK YOU to Little Duckings.
