My name is Jill Garvie and I am a photographer specialising in Newborn, Children and Family photography. I live just outside Edinburgh, Scotland and when I'm not taking pictures you will find me at home with my Husband, our two gorgeous boys and my Hungarian Viszla dog. I love to travel and we get away whenever time and money allows.
My idea of a day off well spent is hiking up a hill with the family and the dog and then heading home for some good food, a large glass of wine and curl up on the sofa together to watch a movie (Anything StarWars or Marvel in our house!) We have had two sessions with Jill - perfect little newborn pictures and fun, beautiful 'sitter' pictures.

My love of photography started 10 years ago when my first child was born and I realised the value of these images. I dreamed of turning this amazing hobby into a career so went to study photography at Edinburgh college. From there I decided to specialize in Newborn and family photography and have travelled the country to train with the best photographers and trainers in specialist newborn baby posing and baby safety.
One of the most challenging and rewarding things you will ever do is carry your unborn child! Your body will change and achieve things that will simply amaze you. Capturing this special and fleeting time with a maternity photoshoot is an opportunity not to be missed. Jill managed to make me feel so good at a time when I didn't feel attractive at all!
Iabsolutely adore photographing this precious stage of your little bundle of joy. It's a stage in your child's life that passes so very quickly and the images produced from a newborn session will become a cherished possession that brings you back to this fleeting time. I booked in with Jill for a newborn photoshoot when my baby boy Otis was 1 week old.
As new parents, for the first second or third time, the first year is a wonderful age to capture all your baby's development. I have varying sessions to choose from for babies. We have had two sessions with Jill - perfect little newborn pictures and fun, beautiful 'sitter' pictures. I can't wait to come back and get her big birthday shoot done.
It doesn't matter if it's the first or twenty first birthday, each one is a milestone in your child's life. Birthday sessions are a way to mark this milestone and create a cherished memory you can revisit year after year. My son Grayson had his 1st birthday cake smash with Jill, she created a fun happy experience for both myself and Grayson, he was full of giggles and smiles which resulted in fantastic photos we will treasure forever.
