Hello, and thanks for stopping by! My name is Armands, and I'm really thrilled that you've discovered my photography! I create and capture artistic portraits of expectant mothers, newborn babies, children and families. I also offer wedding service too. In my spacious city-centre-based photography studio, or out-and-about at your favourite location - whichever you prefer - I capture life's precious moments.
I'm super proud of my workspace. It has taken years of tweaks and decisions to make more home feel studio rather like industrial space. A-Fotografy is a professional photography studio in Edinburgh which specialises in portrait and wedding photography. It is 600 square ft open-plan studio is conveniently located in St Margaret's House on London Road close to the city centre and has been custom-designed to ensure your comfort and enjoyment.
A maternity photo shoot is a chance to experience elegant pregnancy photography, which not only documents your pregnancy but also tells the story of your journey to becoming a mother. When my maternity clients look back on their bump pictures they tell me that they are instantly transported back and experience the magic of those moments all over again (but without a backache and the swollen ankles!)

We had a fantastic newborn mini photo session with Armands. Absolutely thrilled with the outcome and variety of the photos, and would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting newborn shots. Armands was extremely responsive and professional, which made us as new parents feel a lot more relaxed. If we want more photos in the future, I would return without hesitation.

We had a newborn mini session with Armands a week ago. He made us all feel at ease straight away + helped to burp our little one so they were ready to be photographed right away. We are absolutely amazed by the quality of the photos + how quickly we got them back. We love them + cannot wait to send out our baby thank you cards with a few photos on. I actually can’t stop looking at our photos! I would recommend Armands + we will be coming back again in the future! Thank you again.

Armands was fantastic to work with, very responsive as I planned an event from overseas. He went out and made a video to detail the area and where to do everything exactly. On the day of, when I had finally arrived in Scotland, I knew I had nothing to worry about as he was there before I arrived and afterwards made us feel like the center of attention with a wonderful photoshoot. The pictures were sent to us very quickly and are simply incredible.

We cannot recommend A-fotography enough! Armands was our wedding photographer 5 years ago and he did a fantastic job then, so we returned to him to do a newborn photoshoot for our little boy. He captured lots of beautiful photos of him, as well as family photos including myself, husband and our 2 year old daughter.

We were lucky enough to be chosen for one of Armands' model call sessions. We were in awe of his photos but also how great he was with our baby. He took care of settling her and was so incredibly patient even when she started being a bit fussy. He made her very relaxed and comfortable and taught us a few techniques! His vision and attention to detail really showed through in the final photos which we absolutely loved. From messaging Armands prior to the shoot and throughout our special day, we couldn't have been happier with choosing him to be our photographer. He was very responsive to emails and provided loads of information to help choose a spot to propose to my fiance, even providing a video of the location as we didn't live there. He was very professional and we felt at ease as soon as we met him, there was no awkwardness throughout our whole day, he made us laugh and smile the whole time. Armands was absolutely wonderful. I did a maternity 'rock the dress' shoot and it was a great experience. He made me feel comfortable - and more importantly managed to get my camera-shy partner to join me in a few photos! Definitely the best maternity photographer in Edinburgh. We'll be using him for our newborn photoshoot, as well. Highly recommend.
