Hockley Golf Club
Hockley Golf Club is a private members' Club established in 1914, visitors are made very welcome at Hockley. Hockley is a James Braid designed golf course set on 240 acres of historic chalk downland overlooking the City of Winchester. We invite you to enjoy our hospitality and facilities, and to appreciate the quality and value we offer.
Services
Hockley is built on free draining chalk downland, which means it remains playable in all but the harshest of winter conditions. We rarely need to use temporary greens or tees and, as a result, members and visitors have the chance to play meaningful golf year-round. We are naturally gifted with a James Braid course, on a beautiful piece of land set within the South Downs National Park and the course is a pleasant walk.
Members and visitors benefit from an extensive practice range, which includes covered bays and an automatic ball dispenser. There are dedicated areas for short game practice allowing you to sharpen your chipping, putting and bunker play. The driving range caters for even the biggest of hitters. There are markers laid out at 100, 150 & 200 yard intervals to help on distance control with your irons.

Nice long course currently undergoing some extensive work. Should be a 5star when completed. Greens inreally good condition considering the recent spell of bad weather. Great full english breakfast too.

A superb golf club, established over 100 years ago. Great greens, tricky lines in and a brilliant pro team to help get your game in top form. Highly recommended

I am a new member and have played around a dozen rounds now, the course is in great condition and continues to improve, the staff at the club are just so friendly and welcoming i can not wait for all the restrictions to be gone so I can benefit from this great club in its full ,the course it self is a tough test of your game on a nice day but look out if the wind is blowing your game has to be on

Good course, great condition, friendly staff and clubhouse and visitor friendly. The club benefits with great practice facilities too. Would strongly recommend playing here. Teed off inbetween several 4 balls and the pace was good, no slow play encountered (not bad for a Sunday round)
