Osteopathy was founded in North America by Dr. Andrew T. Still in the late 1800's. Osteopathy is the science of Human mechanics which explores the relationship between body structures and their function. Osteopathy is a natural therapy. It is a manual medicine based on the relationship between the structure and function of the human body.
Osteopathy is a primary healthcare profession regulated by the Osteopaths Act 1993. Osteopathic practice is based on the philosophy that people are unique individuals, and thus, osteopaths do not just treat specific conditions.
We aim to understand why that particular patient has that problem at this time, the issues that contributed to it, its future prevention as well as considering imbalances that may be causing other, less symptomatic, but possibly longer term issues - we then work towards treating the body to improve overall function for that individual as best as we are able by the application of osteopathic techniques informed by the principles of osteopathy.

Marc has created a welcoming space to treat families, starting with babies and going all the way through to grandparents. I first went to see Marc during the past year. I had been to several osteopaths and physiotherapists before as I had been suffering extreme pain in my leg.

Marc has treated our baby since she was 2 weeks old to a high standard. I fully trust Marc and he has helped our baby develop a symmetrical skull after a prolonged/traumatic delivery. Our baby started off frustrated, unable to turn her head to the right making feeding a challenge. Soon after treatment started we had a beautifully happy baby with no other issues. I can't recommend Marc (and his lovely wife) enough.

For the first 11 weeks of my son's life, he was whinging and crying all the time. No matter what we did, he would frown, avoid eye contact, feed every hour night and day, and cry constantly. I knew something was wrong, but the GP simply assumed it was colic. Finally after doing some research online, I learned about osteopathy for newborns. Having used osteopaths in the past for my own back pains and headaches, I thought it was worth a try. I was fortunate enough to book in with Sarah Bayley at The Osteopathic Centre in Cambridge, and within the hour my baby was a normal, happy, smiling, laughing
